You are trying to reason with people that think "boxing" is about standing toe to toe.

Now, Professional boxing is about entertainment as well so you have to entertain the paying customers, however; if you are still fighting and getting paid big money for what you are doing while winning the way you fight, why change?
There was an article just put up about how much Wlad gets paid so obviously people are willing to pay them big money to perform.

Here are two quotes for everybody to think about:

"Win this fight, look good in the next one," George Benton

"When you get hit that’s when you’ve got to be calm. A professional fighter has to learn how to hit and not get hit, and at the same time be exciting. That’s what professional boxing is about. You’ve got to be clever, you’ve got to be smart, and not get hit, and when you’re able to do this, you’re a fighter.” Cus D'Amato

You can prefer another fighter and style for your money, but you can still respect what another fighter and his style does for him to win. You can respect Winners. And that is something you can be willing to watch.

I don't think too many credible people consider Tyson an ATG. Nevertheless that's a lame argument. One wrong doesn't make another wrong ok.

obviously he fights the right way for him to fight but this is a boxing site and if anyone has watched his last 2 fights i think they have a right to complain about this guy fighting like a scared ***** and making boxing look bad. if wlad fought guys like lennox vitaly bowe ect he would be kod because his jab right would only work for so long before those guys got in and rocked that glass chin

wrong i can appreciate a great boxer like floyd mayweather or whitaker putting on a clinic i hardly call what wlad does a great boxing performance he is a top hw and his size and power make him a tough out for any hw in these times but when a fighter throws more then one punch at him you can see how he reacts to it and the fact that the guys that he fights are not top guys prevents us from seeing how good he really is i would not put my money on him against his brother or the top guys from the 90s

                What about Marciano?

He beat a bunch of past prime Light-Heavyweights and is considered a top 10 by many. Now do people really believe this at the end of the day or is that people don't want to go against "Rocky Marciano"?
Not sure...but either way, he is an "ATG" because of his era that he fought in, so why not the Klitschko brothers?

I changed my opinion on this yesterday. They are ATG's.

I can't name any other HW that has dominated the division like they have that aren't considred ATG's.

They have dominated a poor division, but so have other ATG's.

He's probably the most overrated fighter ever. Let's be honest, Marciano got the plateau because he had the complexion to make the connection. I'm glad you point it out, Benny. But, as I said, one wrong doesn't make the other wrong ok.

Ah...I see what you are saying and I can agree on some level.

                      So what about Vitali?
