Not sure...but either way, he is an "ATG" because of his era that he fought in, so why not the Klitschko brothers?
I wouldn't consider him nearly top 10 but IMO Marciano's record is pretty good

Yeah, to be fair to Rocky he wasn't getting KO'd by guys like Corrie Sanders then running away from the rematch.

Wlad has beaten better opponents than Vitali over the course of his career and should be ranked higher than him. I do believe Vitali would probably beat Wlad if the two ever met. That said, ATG's? GTFOH. There are plenty of long-time champs who may be great but aren't all-time greats. The term gets thrown around so loosely. You beat Chris Arreola and Sam Peter and BOOM! ATG.

            So what about Vitali?
vitaly is top guy and i think he would give any hw from any era a tough fight with his chin size and power i just think his clumsy and akward style prevent him from getting the credit he deserves. he brutally kos his brother if that fight ever becomes reality

Yes, I agree, however; that is the way the system works. Now if you and me want to discuss what an ATG standard should be that is another story. But right now if the books are being written, how many are going to view it our way over what others write down?
We can only look at the standard that is set in place and Marciano and others are listed as "ATG" fighters so that is the standard Wlad and Vitali will be judged on...like it or not.
Now if you want to write a book or an article based on your standards in order to shake up the system...that would be something needed in order for people to take a closer look at things.

Good points. I feel bad for the Klitschko's but I don't want to bestow upon them what is simply not deserved. Is it a bad era? Yes. Can they dominate a bad era and be considered great? Yes. But ATG?? You've got to do a little more than beat up on the Ray Austin's of the world to earn that.

It's not Wladimir's fault Vitali was out for four years. He's built a better resume, period.
