haney will win but loma wont be 'beat up', he will be hugged constantly over 12 rounds and the ref wont do anything

I thought that photo of Loma in a shoulder sling after his defeat to Teofimo was both shameful and disgraceful. He attempted to use an injury as an excuse for his losing to Lopez.
The only reason why he lost that fight because he was afraid of taking risks and just simply refuse to try to win the fight by spotting Teo the first seven rounds.
If he was truly injured and had a bum shoulder going into that Teo fight; Then he should have just postponed it until he was fully healthy.Comment

Unification trumps mandatories. Taking a fight to fully unify against the IBF champ was always going to be more important than defending against an unknown mandatory.
It's absolutely insane how many people don't understand that the whole thing was a cash grab by Sulaiman and the WBC. They had just created the Franchise nonsense for Canelo in September 2019 and they were desperate to try to get their blatant cash grab a measure of legitimacy by bestowing it on as many of the acknowledged P4P fighters of the time. This then enabled them to elevate their mandatory to champion status, and they further compounded things by having an interim champion, so they could have 3 sets of fighters paying them sanctioning fees.
Remember the WBA created the "Super" champion designation as well, for exactly the same reason, in 2000, and the organizations got to watch them charge double and triple sanctioning fees for decades. The news pundits have continued to support their nonsense by dignifying the secondary champions, like Tank Davis, as "world champions" even though they're little more than mandatories who don't have to enforce a mandatory status to fight the real champ and can just coast on their fake champ status. So it should be little surprise that the WBC got jealous and greedy.
Who all got franchise designations? Canelo, Lomachenko, and Juan Francisco Estrada. Wilder was supposed to be offered one, but Crawford flatly refused to accept one. That's a large chunk of the P4P guys at the time with WBC belts. Another thing that was in common is that WBC offered them the belts, except, apparently, Loma when he requested to fight Lopez, if you want to believe Sulaiman. Loma has said repeatedly that he didn't request the belt, and his motivation has been to fight for undisputed for the whole time he has fought at lightweight. What's more likely, that Sulaiman is lying, and that they actually forced the franchise tag on him as a condition for him to get the fight with the IBF champ? Or that Loma was "ducking" a total unknown in Haney and instead chose to fight the soft touch of the explosive young IBF champ, who was so much less of a threat than Haney, and did so by "requesting" the franchise tag?
This whole narrative is such an insane thing. We can also mention that around this time was also when Haney made his "white boy" racist comment about Loma. So his dislike of Loma has been around for a long time, and you can make up your own mind where it comes from. And it's not from Loma not giving him a chance. He only walked that back after taking a bunch of criticism and getting called personally by Sulaiman.Comment

Gotta love that you believe Sulaiman, as if he's some paragon of honesty with nothing to gain from an additional "champ" paying sanctioning fees. What's he paying you to shill for him?Comment

So he decided to have unnecessary surgery to save face?[/QUOTE]
Yes! I mean if you are not 100 percent healthy; Then why would you risk your own livelihood in the first damn place? That's giving your opponent an unfair advantage.
It's almost like giving yourself a reason to lose the fight; Knowingly taking a fight when you are injured. It's like saying I am going to take this fight but when I lose, I can always use the bum shoulder excuse as my defense.
If you were to ask me it all sounds like bullshit!Comment
