I think Bivol said he's not that interested in fighting Canelo at 175 again, in terms of achievement. He has nothing to gain in that sense but its still the biggest payday available surely. So I can't see Bivol not taking the fight if Canelo is adamant it has to be 175.

I guess Bivol might want more money at 175, its his belt on the line and he's beaten Canelo once.

I got this eerie feeling that Canelo is only taking this fight in order to save face by showing up, laying down and taking a dive to lose. He knows he is not winning this fight and he would just simply refuse to try to win this fight. He's only taking this fight to prove to us boxing fans that he is not a coward.

If they fight at 168 then they’ll have to give Benavidez the step aside check. That’s why clenelo wants it at 175 to save face from ducking again.

He turned pro 18 years ago. I think Bivol gives him a way out of the sport where Canelo can satisfy the loudest voices in his evironment even if he looses by ko or tko. Pressure from the country, fans, Mexican legends plus 18 years of fighting takes a toll. I think he said he'd retire if he didn't win vs Ryder. I personally expect Canelo to retire or announce a fare well 2 fight tour after loosing to Bivol twice..UK and Cowboy stadium. Canelo can say he was undisputed, ruled at 154, 160 and 168 the challenged himself by going to 175 and pushing himself to the limit. Just my theory since 175 never made sense.. Even 168 was very calculated risk given his style, skills and size.

Yeah, Bivol may weigh the pros and cons of either 168 or 175 and chose which one to offer or accept, with respect to the monetary gain or trinkets involved.

Canelo does have a strong point in this, if he beat Bivol at 168, he would not get the credit it would be said forever that Bivol was drained, no matter what the circumstances they would say Bivol was drained, so I can see why Canelo feels strongly about staying at 175, and he does keep his titles but I think Canelos ego is bigger than his titles.

Clenelo will receive another boxing lesson again. Bivol will slap him around as he did in the first fight.

Let’s cut through the BS, Canelo doesn’t want to fight Bivol at 168 because he knows he will loose all his belts and have nothing to scam DAZN for their money. Father Time has caught up to Canelo and the end is near.

Vegas odds that he fights Bivol, Benevidez, or Morrell at 168 is 20-1. He’s looking for easy fights against more UK PolyAnna’s since he can’t use the BS Mexican beef excuse anymore.

The rematch with Bivol will turn into a no mas situation but Canelo will get his corner to quit for him to save face.

So, this is a way for Alvarez to save face by saying he wants the fight under the same terms and when it doesn't happen he can say it's not on him. I recognize I could be wrong, though. Canelo is a warrior. I'm not a hater. And he may just be true to his word and wants to accomplish what he set out to accomplish the first time. But my instincts say otherwise. I'll allow Alvarez (and his fans) to make me eat my words in a sense: if Canelo takes the fight at 168 (because if he fights Bivol again at 175 he's got the excuse of being outside his best weight if he loses) I'll change my avatar to a picture of him when the fight is announced and I won't change it for a year. Or, if he fights Bivol at 175 and wins (not a gift decision - debatable is okay, but not a gift) I'll change my avatar to a picture of Canelo after the fight and I won't change it for a year.

Let's see some other fans on here make some similar "bets".
I'm not a "fighter" fan just a fight fan. I try to predict who wins upcoming matches. I bet that Canelo Alvarez will not fight any mandatory or Bivol at 168 that can threaten to take those titles that's not like a 20-1 underdog! I don't have an avatar but if Canelo wins I'll post at the bottom of all my posts for a year "Canelo is my hero". I'll bet that Canelo does not become my hero.
