Shakur is on a different level than Ryan. This is excellent commentary by him, shows that he is a student of the game. I do not care though. I just want to see you fight Shakur, Stay busy boss

Shakur is right. King Ry Garcia is not that good. He chose the wrong profession. He's too soft and mentally weak for the hurt business. He will be well suited for modeling and acting however.

Garcia was never that good. His social media following is what got him a big PPV fight. Flash over substance.

If you can't see that Shakur is supremely skilled your don't know what you're watching. He's at 135 now, his natural weight, so let's see who is clamouring to fight him out of the top 3 guys. He's been calling out everybody. Hopefully he gets the Devin/Loma winner since he has the same promoter. Then we'll truly see if he can prove all the doubters (such as yourself) wrong.

I agree with this statement. I would add that Goosen obviously didn't come with a good game plan on beating Davis. It seemed like Garcia tried using his left hook and when that didn't work, he ran out of options. He had no heart to rely on and he couldn't make adjustments on the fly.

People were building him up as some kind of generational talent when in reality it seems like a lot of those same people, including Teddy Atlas, had a man crush on him.
Ryan's best win was against a faded Luke Campbell who was out of the ring a year and a half when they fought and even then he still got dropped.

I think the Goose was star struck by Ryan and constantly telling him that he was a legend in the making without taking the steps in camp to ensure he had the right tactics to beat Tank. They just assumed that his speed and power were otherworldly and would be enough to deal with any opponent. Leave it to boxing to provide a reality check when the fight actually happened.
