It should be Canelo vs Zurdo for the losers belt.

No its the PERCEPTION he is trying to control. If Canelo loses to Bivol at 168lbs he can have absolutely no excuses and will lose all of his titles which would obviously be devastating to his worldwide followers. However if he loses to Bivol at 175lbs again he's able to palm it off as "daring to be great" which portrays him in a positive light for taking on greatest challenges. The fact is Bivol whoops Canelo with ease at any weight.

Reading between the lines its clear that Canelo, deep in his heart already knows that he can't beat Bivol.

Canelo thought he seen an easy lick when he picked to fight Bivol at 175lb but got smoked. The same as when he cherry picked a washed up Krusher Kov, he just got caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Now he wants to weight drain the guy to get his lick back, no make him fight at 175lb or Canelo should quit ducking and give the fans what we really want a fight with the Mexican Monster.

Very similar to fans complaining about Ryan Garcia be forced to cut weight to 136, then also having a ridiculous rehydration clause.. when the fool he’s fighting already fought at 140..

Secondly, no one really cares about Canelo-Bivol 2, whether it happens or not, let alone if it’s at 168 or 175 LOL.

Issue is Canelo is smart enough to know that if he forces Bivol to 168 and losses, it’s the absolute worst outcome for him, and if he wins folks that actually care about the fight will simply say he beat a drained Bivol.. Lose/Lose predicament.

If he fights Bivol at 175, he can used that tired I’m chasing greatness moniker (when he truly isn’t, he’s cherry picking “champs” he thinks are vulnerable.).

It will be interesting to see this play out. Canelo lost despite having all the judges on his side. He won 2 rounds at best and yet the judges gave him 5.

Clenelo will likely come in roided to the gills and he will win as long as he doesn't get knocked out. The first fight was fascinating as boxing the sport was in open conflict with boxing as the business. Sport won but barely and the business side didn't like that one bit and they will be more prepared for the rematch.

Bivol is fighting the political atmosphere, promoters, judges, ref AND Pedelo all at once. If he wins this then it's going to be hilarious and satisfying. Canelo might also take the Excuse Champion belt from "Twerking" Deyonce Wilder in the aftermath.

Nelo is no challenge for Bivol @ 175... there's no motivation for Bivol to fight him again @ 175 except maybe the money... Nelo better be prepared for another 12 rounds of ass whooping or worst a possibility of getting KO'ed...

Exactly this is the true spirit of competition. Canelo haters are saying that he is looking for an excuse if he loses. Canelo fans can say he is chasing greatness. Canelo vs Benavidez can also happen at 175 lbs. David will eventually have to move up and chase greatness too. I don’t see any big fights happening at 168 lbs anytime soon. This era in boxing sucks.

Canelo could've fought Bivol in an instant rematch but ducked it. Now is ducking again because he'd rather face Ryder. Arguing how much credit Canelo deserves for chasing the rematch is bizarre considering all he's done is run in the opposite direction.

"I'm still not willing to face Bivol but for sure the imaginary fight will be at 175"
