If somehow Teofimo beats Taylor, thatll be the most marketable and winnable fight for Ryan. Other than that, he loses to everyone else at 140. Even most 135ers beat him.

Tank won’t make or break this kid’s career. He should learn from his mistakes, get a solid training experience, and move on to other fights.

Definitely. Look at someone like Ray Boom Boom Mancini. He got knocked out early in his career against Alexis Arguello. He bounced back to have a very decent career....and is now in the Boxing HOF.

Most of those fights were ones that people clamored for a rematch and also the champion in most cases who lost was entitled to regain their championship. I just don't see the huge support for a rematch unless both move to 140 and a winning streak puts them on the same track. I think they were like ships passing in the night. In general, I think Ryan will do well at 140 but there is some stiff competition there.

Ryan got his ass whipped, period. But he's definitely a good young fighter and he can come back stronger. He's a real boxer, but he's very narcissistic and delusional and has a lot to learn about boxing. He knows that now, due to the severe asswhipping he took. So i suspect he'll make changes in his team and/or promotional company, and slowly work his way back. He won't overestimate his abilities or underestimate anyone else's abilities anymore. He now understands what it takes to be at the top, and what areas he needs to make a lot of improvements in. Getting ur ass whipped has a way of smoothing out the rough edges and making u more humble and realistic in life. When u suffer a real severe asswhipping like the one Ryan took, it can do one of two things- it can either make a real man out of u, or it can make u suck ur thumb and say, "I want my mommy". Which one is Ryan gonna do? Only time will tell!

There's no guarantee that Ryan would win at 140, the same rules as everyone else at 140, but at least when you looked at the fight you would know what you had.

Tank's minions get extremely bitchy if you suggest that the a-side clauses put in place specifically to weaken Garcia, actually weakened Garcia but that was obviously the purpose, so why argue?

Agree with you 100% in that there is no argument for an immediate rematch. It's more of something that can happen somewhere down the line. If Ryan returns to winning, gaining a title, etc..I would love to see a rematch where there would be no extraordinary stipulations.

I don’t think Ryan got an ass whipping, definitely lost and could have gotten up from the punch but not an ass whipping, for me ass whipping would be something like paquiao did to margarito

There was no upper limit for his weight on actual fight night. He could be up to 146 10 hours before the fight. He could have rehydrated another 5 pounds for all we know. Now hes like lower 150s.

The question then becomes how much does he need to weigh to beat Tank? Honestly it doesnt even matter, go ahead and be bigger he could barely hit him clean and he doesnt use his size very well, he doesnt use his reach and he isnt a great inside fighter either but tries to pressure on the inside. He fights a lot like Khan just getting into fire fights with his chin high and going for broke.

Garcia is eventually going to have to go to 147 or even higher, hes only 24 fight now and 5'10''.... I cant imagine him against welters in there with power bigger than Tanks but also frames the same size as his, he is going to get slept a lot if he tries to be on top at welter.
