This fight what have made more sense AFTER Hopkins victory over Trinidad. After all, Tito was set to fight Roy had he defeated Bernard, and with tables turned and Hopkins being the new hottest commodity after the Tito win and Roy still seemingly on top at the time the stage was set. Now I think it would be a tough sell simply because of where each fighter is as at this moment with their careers seemingly coming to conclusion.
Peace.

Reasonable amount of credit, even based on the style match-ups and Hopkins is getting no younger. I've always said too many folk exaggerated how past prime they were, and really that's already been proven to be right, to varying degrees.
Hopkins is favorite sure, but Roy beat Lacy a hell of a lot more convincingly than a younger Taylor did, and Hopkins hasn't been active.
