I can't wait for the excuses after Haney wins, beause they are coming and I will be bumping this thread
Anyone giving Loma a shot?

Haney will face pressure, footwork, and feinting like he's never seen before. His jab and grab approach won't be enough. He'll have to show more. Because the Haney we've seen so far is too hittable and low output to win.Comment

That’s something from Haney we haven’t saw so I think it’d be a surprise to us all including Loma. But I just don’t think Haney has the power to keep Loma on his back foot. Kambosos minor success was the movement and changing of angles but he couldn’t do it for 12 rounds, if he did he’d beat Haney twice. Loma can, and has, done it. He also won’t let Haney clinch/hug all night.

Whenever Kambosos got past the jab, he was landing pretty cleanly. In the Ortiz fight, Loma countered Ortiz's jab pretty effectively for most of the fight. I'm genuinely confused to what people see in Haney that makes them think he's such a huge favorite over Loma. Doesn't have a great workrate, movement, defense, inside game, etc. If he pressures, okay, that could be interesting as long as he doesn't walk into left hands. But if he boxes? He doesn't have the counterpunching to keep Loma off.

But Haney does have length and a good straight jab, if he can pivot with Loma then Loma wont be able to get around him, its an interesting fight, the biggest things against Loma is size length and youth, and of course, Haney does have boxing ability. Its one of those fights I could easy see the other winning if he is in the zone and the other is not quite.

Loma doesn't need to get around him to beat him. Just get past the jab. Haney can't fight inside. So he needs to use his boxing skills to keep Lomachenko outside. But Haney's boxing ability is pretty limited from what I have seen. Jabbing and potshotting won't get it done.
