What's worse is that he would call his opponents C-rate fighters, yet wanted to brag after he beat them. Where is the nobility in that? You call Gatti C-rate but then brag about your performance against him? Isn't that what you're supposed to do if you claim to be TBE and your opponent is C-rate? This is why I posed the question about whether fans though Ryan Garcia was an elite level fighter. He was being hyped up because of his social media popularity with young girls and to make Tank's win look better than it was. They did the same with Charlo and Castano. They acted as though he beat a prime Duran.

Well fights seem to be marinating for too long nowadays, was this the case when floyd was around also? I mean Bud v spence, Usyk v Fury, Bivol v Beterbiev. Floyd isnt responsible for this by any chance is he?

No. The main problem boxing has had since Floyd retired is that the promoters and networks intentionally created a bigger divide between themselves as an excuse to rarely work together. They want to control everything, there is less risk when you control the career of the winner and the loser whatever the outcome.

PBC have the top 154 guys and had them all fight. Arum had Stevenson, Valdez, Herring, Berchelt and had them fight. But getting fights done 'across the street' isn't common. The in-house mentality has gotten worse and Floyd wasn't the main cause of that.

I think most fighters now only want money fights. They'd rather just sit around wait for the retirement money offer.

Is it fair to say that now every boxer and their mom look at Floyd's paydays and ask for insane money to fight top opponents? Is it over for the fans? Are we only going to see 1-2 top fights a year because of it?

All I hear this days is "yeah I'm willing to fight anyone.... If the money is right", and the money is never right for them. Now I am not saying boxers shouldn't get paid well. They absolutely do but the delusional landscape Floyd created for the existing and upcoming stars is working against the sport's best interest.

The name of the game now is to become an Instagram or YouTube champ and ask for millions to fight. If you enjoy watching Paul vs Woodley, your time is now.
I think it is s sign of the times.

If you think about it the Grammy for the album of the year in 1969 was King Crimson's In the Court Of the Crimson King, which is a masterpiece.

Now a days it is some joker pretending to be an artist.

That is what we have now, a bunch of jokers. Brings to mind that movie were humans devolve.

you're more than welcome to show proof of me acting like "i dont have any biases" that would amuse the big picture of things.

                i didnt accuse.

                i told the truth.

i told the truth about floyd. i didnt accuse him of anything. what i said happened. floyd did it. his daughter did it. you can muddy the waters all you want and characterize your defense of floyd's honor online as "pinning the tail on haters" but you aint fooling me old man. and can you prove a single thing i said about floyd here that is bs?

                go ahead. i dare you.

                I DOUBLE DARE YOU.
How do you know you told the truth do you know Floyd personally and were you there, you told a perceived truth, a rendition was spoon fed to you, unless you were there you don't know what happened and you don't know all the details which in a character assassination can be exaggerated or twisted. And I like to be at least a little precise so what exactly are you stating as 100% truth.

Is it ok to follow mayweather big payday but what ruined boxing is they follow his cheating and cherry picking of opponents.
