    you live in america?

    if you are,

    YOU'RE A HATER.

didnt floyd and his family was jealous that pacquiao was getting shine? then sr. gets embarrassed by roach and pac during hatton and he accuses pac of steroid use?

stop trying to pretend you're above the fray.

you're in the muck with the rest of us. otherwise, we wouldnt be having this conversation and you would be doing something better with your time.

what do you get defending floyd mayweather jr.'s honor online?

what does it feel like to defend such a scumbag murderer racist like floyd?

didnt he say he can have "people get taken care" of?

what does that say about you?

You realize that effect is the very evolution of greatness, greats of all sports are the influences that create the next great, that's how evolution works, Floyd played his part and both good and bad will come just like it did with other greats from Jack Johnson, Dempsy, Ali, Robinson, Leonard, Oscar, Tyson, Floyd etc, the ones that transcend their chosen field, and there are many more greats yet to come that will take bits and pieces from the greatest before them and mix up a new one, the next big thing never stops coming, and along with that will come a bunch of naysayers trying to tear them down. I don't think youth have lived enough to understand the big picture from all angles, to them it's emotion-based with very little logistics.

The thing people forget about Floyd is he stepped into the ring with a current/former/future world titlist 24 times.

He may have been a drama queen about it but he did pretty much end up fighting everybody there was for him to fight. I hate the guy but it's hard to blame him for what other people do.

He has his pros and cons in the sport, but he acknowledged a lot of things many fighters should capitalize on and I agree with him. He was a very smart business man, you gotta give it to him.

One of it was that promoters shouldn't be making more than the fighter under your banner and that your health is your wealth in the long run. If you make it to stardom, you could be your own boss - and that is what most fighters today are trying to reach.

On the other hand, I disliked the unbeaten record that everyone is afraid to lose. Top fights today aren't being made because of many things, but the zero is one of them.

Im 70 and in Australia, what do you mean defend Mayweather, from what? the guy is a ATG boxer that's the only perspective I take notice of unless I knew him on a personal level I cant judge him as a man based on media narrative, dam I spent 20 yrs fighting media over Pit Bulls ( I was the first to import the breed into Aus early 80s) so I know how twisted and agenda driving the media can be, and for that reason I don't judge anybody based on what the media put.

You invest into what is spoon-fed to you about famous people on a personal level, I don't defend Floyd there is nothing to defend I cant judge who I don't know and I try not to hold preconceived bias, I give reason for my view on a subject it's not defence, I think and operate logistically not emotionally.

He set the tone for modern boxing where fighters are afraid to lose their 0 in the loss column so they cherry pick their way up the ranking fighting familiar names on their way up or down. Or hype up their opponents as better than they truly are. Wait out older fighters until they lose a step.

I feel like a lot of fighters want to be like Money Mayweather calling the shots but they don't look at Pretty Boy Floyd who put in the work and laid down the groundwork to be MM.

Floyd used his 0 to market himself, every undefeated fighter in history has touted their undefeated status at one point or another, it's human nature. My opinion is that it's the boxing media that propagates the whole 'protect your 0' nonsense. Anthony Joshua loses once and boxing commentators are literally telling him to retire. Oscar basically threw Lucas Mattyhse and Linares under the bus when they lost to Pacquaio and Lomachenko. Oscar didn't even show up to Garcia's post fight conference. Even recently Top Rank commentators, especially Bradley, have been going after fighters who lose, remember Predraza vs Commey where Tim kept saying the loser is going to be a gatekeeper? If you're a young contender with a 0 on the cusp of making it to the big stage and you hear all this stuff being said about guys who lose, are you really willing to risk your 0? Boxing media can't complain about fights not being made and fighters protecting their 0 when they drag fighters who lose.
