Something refreshing, we have a top contender calling out a fellow top contender at 168, not Canelo.

I great fight, I hope it happens.

This will be one hell of a fight, two young undefeated fighter's in the 168 pound division. Both are vying for the mega payday fight against Canelo, and a win in a fight of this magnitude would guarantee that fight for the victor.

And who is legitimately ranked? The Brazilian was ranked #6 in both the wba and wbc. And asking everyone that wants Morrell Jr to fight someone else, instead of benavidez, who else? A guy told me thompson, which I laughed at it, or uzcategui, which I think he wouldn't offer much. So who? If not benavidez.

He's more than ready for Benavidez right now. Team Benavidez aren't dumb enough to take this fight before Canelo though so, for now, Morrell is going to have to call out the next few guys in line. .

Finally, a fight I can actually look forward to — a fight that might actually happen. This one would make Davis-Garcia look like the the whimper it was.

This would be an excellent fight, but I’m not sure if Benavidez will jeopardize his Canelo ticket. And right now, I’ve got Morrell. That dude is a problem.

How about Pavel Silyagin, Vladimir Shishkin or Christian Mbilli? Those guys are all undefeated and have quality wins. They are legitimate top 10 contenders, not 35 year old former amateur stars with padded pro records like Falcao. You should know that just because he was ranked 6th by two alphabet organizations doesn't mean he is legitimate. Alphabet rankings are a joke. And since those three guys that I named are not going to get a world title shot at Canelo any time soon, they would likely be open to fighting Morrell.

This fight would be a back and forth war in my opinion - purely scintillating exchanges.

Feed Andrade to Morrell so he can bury that myth already. Fight makes since, make it in Minneapolis in July-August at that armory place. I bet Andrade will weasel his way out of that fight

Then don't mention ranks, they mean nothing. I'd love to see him fight those guys, don't think their team would let them share a ring with him.
