The 25-year-old Cuban phenom made quick work of the usually durable Falcao, who had never been stopped and hadn't been knocked down since 2018. After wobbling him early, Morrell scored his first knockdown with a right hook that forced Falcao to hold onto the ropes, prompting referee Celestino Ruiz to rule the knockdown.

Morrell is a good match for Benavidez. Both want it so it will be a war. Morrell is a lefty so that's another big test for Benavidez. Make the fight!

Man I’d love that fight. Morrel is already a beast but this might be a humbling beating for him at this point.

Morrell wants it. Benavidez already accepted the fight a year or so ago and Morrell's team said no. Ronnie Shields, his trainer, shook his head and said, "No son, you need two or more fights before taking on Benavidez." Certain fans agree with Shields. I saw one post yesterday and said the same thing. Besides, who is there for Benavidez next? His team is perfectly aware there's nobody there for him next. Charlo wants no part of Benavidez. Same thing with Andrade, Canelo, etc.

If this fight doesn't happen next, this sport is truly FKCD up.

But you just said it bro Ronnie doesn't want it and I don't blame him. Morrel will end up like Ryan too much too soon.

And I have said multiple times in my previous posts Morrell needs to get rid of that trainer. Look at what he did to Jermall Charlo. Lara already left that guy and said he's been learning a lot from his new trainer. Morrell, I believe is a natural and already a pro. Shields is just good for kids who want to learn the basics.

That would be an exciting fight, but Morrell probably needs to fight somebody that is legitimate top 20 first, which he has yet to do. Nine fights against the level of opponents he's faced may not prepare him for Benavidez.
