After all the talk that would be disappointing but not surprising.

THe dinner of this fight would have a better chance of a canelo fight imo. It's a mandatory consolidation and fighting the winner gets both out of the way.

I hope pbc get it done but it's hard to be confident it happens.

You might be right, but until he faced Morell jr nobody else capitalized on his slowness. Credit where credit is do. And get this, in 16 fights he only fought two fighters with losing record, so a least fourteen other fighters had the chance to do it, none could.

Wasn't supposed to be but he was, like I said it was a good win but Aidos didn't offer much in return so it's hard to offer an assessment of Morrells capabilities at top level off that.

I think you don't want to see what others, including myself are seeing. First, if he supposed to test Morrell Jr, and he wasn't able to do it, all the credit should go to David Morell jr. He was the one that prevail and didn't let Aidos do his thing. Also, Aidos seems to be in the fight, even though he was getting beat to the punch. Mayweather completely outclassed pacquio, are we giving credit to Floyd or not? He looked slow against the Cuban, maybe the Cuban is too fast. By the way, what top level you're referring to? And who you'd think, out those top level you're mentioning, would sign to fight Morrell Jr? Please.

I've seen all of Morrell's fights, he's good but I think you are seeing what you want to see because you are blinded by nationality. He has a great skillset but untested at top level so until he proves that against someone credible I'm going to stick with that.

Are you comparing Aidos to Manny Pacquiao? That's a terrible comparison considering Aidos will never be champion in 1 division let alone multiple. When I mention top level I mean anyone who has fought for a title or was a former champion themselves. Benavidez has a few on his resume, Morrell has 0.

I can see your point, and I wasn't comparing manny to, not aidos nor anyone for that matter. I did compare the situation, manny was "supposed" to give floyd some fists, didn't happen because Mayweather neutralized everything manny tried. So let's come-back to the testing of Morrell Jr, who do you think would sign, out all those ex-champs, belts challengers and contenders, to fight the Cuban? I ask you because, I really don't know who, the only one I think would fight him is benavidez. Please, whoever you mention should be one that has a real chance, not because he was an exchamp or fought for the title. Be safe

Jose Uzcategui doesn't seem to have any opponents lined up and it would be a good test.

You think so? I have seen a couple of his fights, he seems a little bit slow. I'd prefer the guy that beat him last time out. I think he is Russian. That would be my choice, beat the man, that beat the man.

Not too impressed with Shishkin, but it would be a solid name that Morrell would get no credit for.

I don't see any problem why Morrell vs Benavidez can't happen next. If it doesn't, then this sport is truly in a terrible mess. Promoters object, managers object, trainers object, even some fans object. They say Morrell is either not ready yet, or he's still too young when they're the same effing age.
