I'm glad it's happening now instead of never, I guess. But it's not going to prove anything about either guy. Berenard ages better than Roy, but Roy completely outclassed him in their prime. Had they fought while Roy was champ at 175, it wouldn't have even been close.

Now Roy is slower, has problems with weight, and is afraid to let his hands go. Hopkins is dirty, makes fights boring, and will cheat when losing (see: Calzaghe fight).

It has the makings of a stinker that no one will want to pay $55 for, so it had better be free on ABC or ESPN.

Then they should retire, and hopefully with class towards one another.

Neither were in their primes when they fought in 1993, although Jones was much closer to it than hopkins who really didn't peak until he was in his 30's.

nardo is horrific...he admits that jones is shot, but is clearly willing to redeem himself by fighting him....funny thing is, jones did come to the table like the jones of the early 2000's and got the deal he was looking for, which was an even split with a ko clause, without hopkins pimp oscar de la hoya getting the 25% slice off the top...

Why is it so funny that I think Hopkins won't KO Roy?

It seems reasonable to me. Hopkins hasn't KO'd anybody since that DLH body shot. He aint the biggest puncher in the world.

Roy took some of Lacy's shots (Lacy isn't that good I know) But Lacy hits harder than Hopkins.

Hopkins will win by UD in a boring fight.

I don't think Lacy hits harder than Hopkins, in fact I think Lacy's power is way overrated. Joe said between rounds "He can't punch ****", and "he's ****" (one of the funniest moments in boxing, IMO). That tells me his power isn't all that, and never was.

Hopkins at least got a knock down.
