Yeah I remember that Shiming dude had like amateur record didnt he win gold in olympics too??? I think you are right amateurs and olympics doesn't really say much once you go pro, I guess in some cases its a good indication of a solid pro career and in other cases its like apples and oranges. Wasn't Shiming like already too old too by the time he went pro?

Back to Dong I remember Oscar was trying to hype him bad once he signed to GB lol. Then like a few years later Never heard about him ever again. Then my ignorant arse be like wait this dude aint Zhang right? lol.
Dong probably just quit the sport, he wasn’t very good tbh so probably wouldn’t have gone far. I remember some American journeyman giving him problems and he got a favourable decision in a 4 or 6 rounder. He was definitely an interesting guy to watch though because of how big he was, would’ve liked to have seen what level he could’ve reached.

Yeah Shiming definitely left his best days in the amateurs, I think he was a double Olympic Champion, he definitely won Gold in Beijing and I think he won again in London too.

I wouldn't go as far as to say all that. Usyk might be able to outbox Fury, but the size difference gives Tyson a definite advantage. And Fury is skilled and athletic. I said Zhang might give Fury some difficulty, but I doubt he'd KO him. Chisora is the only old guy he fought, I believe, and that was just a friend doing a friend a solid. Most of Fury's opponents have winning records, except for his earliest fights. And while Wilder may not have the best boxing skills, he certainly can fight. That said, Zhang vs Fury would be an interesting fight and I'd definitely check it out.

Well Fury didn’t lose to a round to either guy you named.

Whereas Zhang arguably lost to Forrest.

He could’ve been like a Great Khali type tbf. Definitely has potential as a wrestler.

And Fury arguably lost to some English domestic guy.

Stop with excuses for Fury fighting no hoper. Zhang would be a dangerous fight for him.

Yes, I think he knows Zhang had kidney issues that night. That's why Zhang is 26-1. Zhang has only lost once in a controversial decision to flip. T he Forrest fight I count as a win for zhang.

Well use that example then because that would make sense.

Zhang has no chance with Fury. He’s not some massive puncher like Wilder and he’s got 6 rounds in him before he completely gasses out.

He’ll struggle with any of the top guys and I don’t even think he’d beat Joyce in a rematch either.

He didn't have kidney issues going into the fight. He was just so out of shape that the fight dehydrated him to the point where he had kidney issues after the fight.
