I'm glad he lost, because he turned into a better fighter since,I scream it all the time!!I think that Punisher fans just see that he is a throw back to when fighters fought the best in their weight classes,no excuses or nothing!!

He is someone who no boxer in the WW division wanted to face - soo much that he has to now fight at higher weights just to earn a living.

Mosley wants no part of him ... Cotto won't answer the phone ... Berto look the other way ... Floyd & Al Haymon won't let it happen - Very few want a piece of Williams.

The fight with Quintana is his only scar ... and he cleaned that up nicely.

He could get fights...just not ones he wants. Neither can Mosley , Berto or anyone for that matter, if he wants in on that he has to fight horrible fights for no money to earn it. It may not be fair or right, but this is a business and he needs to do something to make himself interesting and make people wanna buy his fights and bring some money to the table. All the WW want big money fights, if Williams wants in he will have to start getting crazy and fighting alot and dispose of as many WW as he can quickly and get in the mix. Fighting Pavlik hurts those chances, simply because if he is being ducked by any fighter at WW, he will def not get a fight if he beats the middle weight champion. I have no problem with Paul Williams, I think his power is questionable and he has shown that a good boxer can give him problems. There's alot of question marks though, the volume size and reach are a given and clearly what make him dangerous. The real question is what happens when a heavy handed skilled boxer faces him? Pavlik isn't a great boxer at all so Williams will only see how the power tastes probably, more important to me is seeing how his power is against Pavlik and seeing what he can take when he is hit by a bigger man than he's used to.

Like i said.. He's good but not great..
i believe he can be great. But as of now he still has to accomplish more. But he is a good fighter, with alot of physical advantages. Some people are getting ahead of them selves with him though.

Pwill Is a decent fighter who still evolving

Beating Pavlik is a step in right direction. A guy 6'1 should not be fightin below 154.
Thats the only reason i give him full credit

He moved up in weight to fight Taylor again and then he moved up further in weight to fight lb/lb top 5 Hopkins. And now everyone and their mother is screaming about how much of a bum he is. I'd like to see how Froch and Ward would do against Hopkins.

And how did Marquez do when he went up in weight to fight the top lb/lb fighter? Same result. But for some reason Marquez is a warrior and Pavlik is a hype job.

I will thoroughly enjoy when Pavlik drubs Williams.
Pavlik deserves credit for his victories over Miranda and Taylor. I'm not saying he doesn't. I'm just saying that he is living off those wins too much. Lockett and Rubio are not going to do anything for anybody when it comes to developing a high opinion about Pavlik's abilities or his resume.
