The new fans don't want their idol facing stiff competition, Cubans don't care who they fight.
That’s because they don’t have much choice in who they fight. With the little fan base they have they have to take the meaningful fights to even be in the picture and make some nice paydays. I’m just glad more Cubans are starting a professional career younger than their previous counterparts instead of wasting their time in the amateur circuit. I expect to see a lot more Cubans with the next generation of fighters

He did that in his first fight, the other 7 had winning record with 3 undefeated fighters. Why fight cab drivers o bums? He ain't learning with that. You have to keep him sharp.

It appears Morrell could be the goods and I don't know how quickly he should be moved but aren't his trainers/camp telling the media he isn't ready for someone like David or Canelo just yet? That they'd prefer he have a few more '"step-up" fights?

Not many guys though at 168 that are just a notch below a Canelo or Benavidez besides Plant and Andrade but neither are taking that fight anytime soon I don't believe.
Jacobs and Lemieux are ass now........Shishkin? Uzi?

Too bad BJS is retired, that would've been a great "in betweener" for him.

Great point about them moving in beyond the amateurs
Not spending so much time there
I’m not Cuban but that would help the sport in a whole

Probably the same reason you make inane **** posts constantly; folks are bored and need something to talk about.

I never said records don't matter, of course they matter! It's just not as binary as you're making it. You represented a mathmatical algorithm that has a lot of holes in it which shouldn't be taken at face value, facts.

People who know boxing can see that he is a CONFIRMED future threat to the top guys. benavidez, canelo and plant better watch out. His resume is not good at the moment but who cares? He is still young and has yet to get the big fights which is not his fault.
Expect a lot of ducking excuses and "who has he fought" comments by the usual fanboys.

You're right, not many a 168, his trainer, new trainer I might add, that have a history of protecting his fighters, Shields, was the one that stated he's not ready, two fights ago. Lets see what he have to say the 22nd if David Morrell Jr wins the fight. Definitely the division doesn't have much to offer.

I do understand what you are saying, but you can't dismiss the records, like you did as nothing, they're part of the equation, a big part, without that you have nothing to value your analysis. And my friend, you keep saying I DKSAB, I think you're the one that can't have a discussion with someone that doesn't agree with you. In any case, you can't convince me, you don't have any proof that records don't matter.
