Loma was 1-1 when he beat Russell Jr. 11-1 when he beat Linares.

It's not unheard of for a guy to beat top guys with so few pro fights.

It is though, Loma is a supernova extremely atypical case. Rigo was another. They had to because they were older amateur superstars.

It doesn't matter, YDKSAB. People were watching Porter because he was an amateur star, they didn't need to rush him because when you rush fighters you break them on a high frequency. Boxing basics.

Bruh, nobody is home running these fucking numbers lmao. I can see some tosser American football bros crunching those numbers trying to make a mountain out of a molehill.

So? Doesn't matter, neither was Loma. At this point, do people really care about Cuban fighters anymore? I'm a big fan of their style but they rarely blossom as pro's when they have the opportunity. Rigo was 374-12 and he had some buzz. 130-2 is pedestrian in comparison.

You're not going to sit here and tell me we should all be mystified over an amateur because he had 130 wins and 2 losses.

There's no way that you can dismiss the combined record, nor the individual record. If you match those boxers against each other, they would do the same thing
benavidez did to them. And benavidez would not look the same againts Morell jr competition.
It doesn't mean anything to me because it's fake data, empty calories. I told you, it's easy to get undefeated guys with 20ish wins. Do you even know who Reggie Strickland is? There are loads of guys that just fight to lose and they're not hard to book.

When I use to handicap (92% green), I would see guys (especially from Mexico) with excellent records, never heard of them though. Look at their records, local yokels fighting can after can after can. These guys are all over the place and they're not remarkable at all. Seen many grab belts too on a vacant. No handicapper in the green is using your metric, like ever lmao.

Look at George Arias, 18-0 HW that just lost to Jared Anderson. Dude sucks, dime a dozen.

YDKSAB and a fringe fan that doesn't how which gears go where in the machine. Do an experiment, keep an eye on all those guys Morrell fought and watch their records turn to trash. Many of them now are racking up the losses, it's right there to look at. Allen, Gavronski, Fox are on losing streaks now lol =---> that's like ~30% of his wins lmao. Too easy, can you at least try to get better?

I don't have a narrative or agenda and bruh! I don't know who Morrell is because he's got 8 fights and no other accolades to attract my attention. But wait, his opponent win numbers are high =---> I should have been on this damnit ROFL! Also, people that say narrative are trying to sound smart, give it up.

I’ve seen conflicting reports too. Would love to see him turn pro.CubanGuyNYC do you have any info on this?

JCLC hasn’t fought in months, not sure what’s happening with the amateurs being allowed to go pro. It always felt kind of weird tbh.

Could be wrong, but I’ve heard he’s training in the Dominican Republic for his debut

I have been a boxing fan for over 60, do you know how I know YDKSAB, because you assume I don't, and most probably I have forgotten more about boxing that you would never know. Arias was 18-0, but anderson is better, way better and not afraid.

Too green, he needs at least 7 more fights.

I can't believe you have that background, and saying records don't matter. Go in peace and be safe. By the way, I'm just a fan.

Like the thread topic says, he's only 8-0.

Why risk his undefeated record against top level opposition when he doesn't have the experience yet.

Have you check the guys he has fought, in only eight fights? In your opinion who he should fight after his next fight, a guy with a 28-2 record?

Whoever, give him some bums, cab drivers, journeymen and then up the level of competition right after.
