Canelo can't beat natural fighters like Toney. Toney is a born fighter which means he can be fat, out of shape, and still beat people's asses instinctively.

Eric Morales is another example of a natural born fighter. He can be old with beer belly yet he can still *** people up.

Canelo is nowhere near their class regardless of how popular he is. As fighters, Toney is on a whole different stratosphere.

Both Alvarez's and Toney's best attributes are in the same area's 'But who is superior?.

Alvarez's and Toney's best area's of their game are 'Inside game and defense on attack'.

Neither fighter has elite level movement, so they are pretty much level there 'Although Toney's footwork on the inside up close, again is most likely superior to Alvarez'.

Toney's endurance is superior to Alvarez's 'Toney has a natural innate type of endurance, that other posters have alluded to up above'.

James Toney has been out of condition at times in his career, but he has still be able to fight over the full 12 rounds.

Toney has never lost a fight due to his endurance or lack of gears 'Were as Alvarez specifically has lost fights, due to having a lack of gears and not being able to throw caution to the wind'.

So all in all this is a good competitive fight. But Toney for me will be just winning most of the rounds 'His offense and defense on attack, or even set at mid-range? Would just be too sophisticated for Alvarez',

Toney's durability is also off the charts, single punches vs Toney are not really going to be enough to deter him etc.

              He’s just really not, though.

              At all.

Would that mean Toney isn’t on PED’s aswell?

Toney transitions better from defense to offense and would interrupt Canelo's combos, especially when he's against the ropes.

Not sure what that has to do with the stylistic match up.

Canelo’s problem statically is foot movement and fast feet. Two areas Toney is weak in.

The style match up doesn’t favour Toney at all.

Canelo is a better James Toney tbh

James Toney can get very lazy. He's not knocking Canelo out. he's not going to UD Canelo. So...... Canelo
