As far as Ryder , I don’t care about a guy who is ranked four or five in a terrible division. Look at some of the names are ranked top 4 or 5 in the other weak divisions, and they are unaccomplished nobodies just like Ryder . Canelo already fought bivol. He also got smoked and doesn’t deserve a rematch, let him defend his title against the only other fighter in his division that can be considered elite, which is Benavidez. I’m betting that canelo could rematch Amir Khan and you’d find a reason to justify it.Last edited by LAchargers373; 04-10-2023, 11:04 AM.

Canelo’s only hope is to land a massive punch in the early rounds. If the fight goes past the midpoint, then he will be gassed out, and Bivol will still be springing around the ring like a freaken’ kangaroo. Stamina is something you’re born with… or not. Bivol could be a long distance runner, but Canelo is strictly a sprinter. No amount of clenbuterol will ever change the imbalance in physical stamina between these two.

Deserves got nothing to do with it. Also calling benevidez the only other elite fighter in the division? Hahahaha. Cmon man he lost 4 or 5 rounds vs plant. The same plant canelo won every round against and stopped in the 11th. Morrel jr beats everyone at 168 benevidez is good but he’s not the only other elite fighter at the weight my boy, he’s not even the best contender also people were really high on zac parker. If he beat ryder and was the one fighting canelo with his undefeated record people wouldn’t call this fight a soft touch.
How is that canelo gave bivol a shot when bivol was champion? Bivol gave canelo the shot and won convincingly. That rematch clause has expired so bivol is no longer under any obligation to fight him. If you think canelo really win every round against Plant, you’re delusional. Nobody had that fight a shutout. Not even close to being one. Benavidez gives canelo hell and that’s why canelo and his fans don’t wanna see it.

I don't think Canelo will rematch Bivol, I think he's just trying to deceive the boxing public. This dude is not as great as some people think he is. Fighters who considers themselves great, like Ali, Frazier, Sugar Ray, and most recently, Wilder, to name a few, took an immediate rematch after a loss. Canelo hasn't. I don't think he will fight Benavidez either. I believe that Benavidez is a more dangerous fight than Bivol because he's a pressure fighter. If he fight either one of these guys next, I'll give him some props.

Canelo is fighting for pride because he got beat convincingly the last night. In round 10 if Bivol pressed on the pedal he could have knocked out Canelo. Canelo needs one or two more tomato cans after his first May tomato can fight before rematching Bivol. After watching Canelo's first fight with Bivol, he just isn't good enough to beat Bivol. Bivol's fundamentals are too solid. Canelo should forget Bivol and fight one of the Charlos, Benavidez or Andrade. Canelo is still a great fighter but he just cannot beat Bivol. There is no shame in that. Wilder is great as well, he just can't beat Fury. The list goes on and on.Devils Advocate

Anything can happen in boxing and Cancelling certainly has a puncher's chance.
but He was so far behind Bivol in everything last time it wasn't even funny. Defence, firework and mobility, ring craft, work rate combination punching...
I literally can't think of a single thing in which Camel looked the superior fighter. He was picked apart.
Btw I said this before the fight although I confess that the width of the gap surprised me.
I guess it is possible that C understood B and didn't train properly, wasn't properly prepared... And this time he will be a different fighter?
But I wouldn't bet on it. Both fighters will have learned from the last fight and both includes Bivol. Things could go even worse. C does however have great whiskers.

Spence has just 7 title fights ever. That's since 2017. That car crash was due to him driving drunk, and he had facial lacerations, no broken bones, and was released from the hospital after 6 days. He's only fought once or twice a year during that time, and not at all for two years after the Danny Garcia fight?
How is he even in discussion as having an equivalent resume to Canelo?Devils Advocate likes this.
