Deserves got nothing to do with it. Also calling benevidez the only other elite fighter in the division? Hahahaha. Cmon man he lost 4 or 5 rounds vs plant. The same plant canelo won every round against and stopped in the 11th. Morrel jr beats everyone at 168 benevidez is good but he’s not the only other elite fighter at the weight my boy, he’s not even the best contender also people were really high on zac parker. If he beat ryder and was the one fighting canelo with his undefeated record people wouldn’t call this fight a soft touch.
Canelo didn't win every round against Plant Myself and a lot of people had Plant ahead until the knockout. Canelo was swinging at air until Caleb gassed late like he always does.

Yes, even Plant was able to frustrate Canelo.

When Canelo got completely frustrated, he just walked him down.

Well, he couldn`t do the same to Bivol.

How is that canelo gave bivol a shot when bivol was champion? Bivol gave canelo the shot and won convincingly. That rematch clause has expired so bivol is no longer under any obligation to fight him. If you think canelo really win every round against Plant, you’re delusional. Nobody had that fight a shutout. Not even close to being one. Benavidez gives canelo hell and that’s why canelo and his fans don’t wanna see it.
I agree but canelo like the only superstar in boxing
they need him canelo don’t really need anyone tbh

Not probably , will take another W and maybe even knock him out , this time around

Canelo is padding his pockets avoiding the fights fans want to see. His camp knows Canelo can't win against Bivol. Canelo's punches had no effect against that particular "true" light heavyweight. Canelo would rather fight and lose to Bivol, however. It's okay, in his eyes, to lose against someone he is supposed to lose to. He doesn't want to risk losing to someone in his weight class. His ego can't take such a defeat. Therefore, he'll avoid Benavidez, Charlo, Munguia, and Andrade.....until he has no other choices left. In other words, he won't face one of them until he's thinking retirement.

As far as being smoked, Danny Garcia lost in one sided fashion in the most convincing loss of his career, so yes he got smoked. As far as Ryder , I don’t care about a guy who is ranked four or five in a terrible division. Look at some of the names are ranked top 4 or 5 in the other weak divisions, and they are unaccomplished nobodies just like Ryder . Canelo already fought bivol. He also got smoked and doesn’t deserve a rematch, let him defend his title against the only other fighter in his division that can be considered elite, which is Benavidez. I’m betting that canelo could rematch Amir Khan and you’d find a reason to justify it.
No doubt it was a bad accident and it was miraculous that he wasn't badly hurt, but the facts are he wasn't very badly hurt, and he certainly didn't "almost die". I think his teeth took the brunt of the damage.
Also he deserves credit for getting back in there with a top 6-8 welter in his comeback fight. But again I repeat, Danny was not "smoked". That fight could have went 20 rounds and he wouldn't have been ko'd.

Regarding Ryder, I wouldnt call him an "unaccomplished nobody". That's harsh. He's a good fighter. He arguably beat the no. 1 fighter (at the time) in the division, in Smith. If Smith wasn't number 1, he was Top 3.
He also won a close fight against a slightly diminished Jacobs.
So again, calling him a nobody is harsh.
Again I repeat, he's fighting a top 5 fighter in his division in a COMEBACK Fight. For most fighters, this would be their biggest fight of the year.

He may not deserve a rematch but he calls the shots in boxing so he'll fight Bivol in September. I'm interested to see how he does. Can he do anything differently.
He will fight Benavidez next year.

Amir Khan??? Come on now. That's just silly

ya ur just a hater Lmao he won ALMOST every round. I had a little money on plant that night so I was even trying to give Caleb rounds but I couldn’t. Canelo had NO trouble with plant he just broke him down and like I said won almost every round along the way. The fact u had plant up just shows how little know about boxing. A lot of people had him up u say? Name them lmao. Nobody but u had plant up on canelo.

boxingscene always is akin point and they only had Caleb winning 3 rounds. The canelo hate is so strong I don’t get it. I’m not even a fan of his but there’s no denying his skill and resume

probably should have multiple mandatories. It’s rumored that they’re about to announce him fighting Crawford this Saturday but based on past history, I’ll believe that when I see it.
