    AJ v Franklin Thoughts?

Franklin is a good solid technical fighter who has a good chin, decent power and technique
I just got a feeling too many are sleeping on Franklin

Franklin beat Whyte for me quite clearly

Look I also wouldn't be surprised if AJ takes him out early, he's powerful and coming in at career heaviest so I think that's the game plan to take him out early and make a statement but I think there's going to be some twists in this fight
Remember franklins at his lowest weight he's ever been too and I mean if the fight goes above 6 rounds it will cause AJ problems as he's got gas issues as it is but he's heavier and Franklin is same sort of height and reach as Ruiz, so wonder if that will cause issues too

I think this will be a good fight, first 2/3 rounds will determine how it goes

    What you guys think?

Easy work for AJ. Franklin is a club fighter.

Hoping we see a bit of the old Joshua with some adjustments from James. Better for the division if Joshua makes a comeback as an aggressive, power puncher

No disrespect to the guy but he's not really a good technical fighter is he? He's tough and will be motivated but AJ will have to make serious mistakes to lose here.

If Franklin had a better than 30% chance to win, he wouldnt have gotten this fight with AJ.

You'd think they will have thought this through... but there's a fair bit of unknown about Franklin. And he will be the best trained version of him there's ever been.

Logic tells you this should be a pretty regulation victory for Joshua. They should have picked a guy who he can not only beat but look very good against and stop.

That's matchmaking. We'll see if they got it right.

Looking forward to seeing Joshua back in the ring. We need more viable heavyweights so I'd prefer him to show something that gets people excited about him again.

If Franklin hasn’t got a Ruiz level chin, Joshua put him on qweer street with a straight right then finish him off in short order. The fight goes no more than 4.

Yeah he needs to blitz Franklin and he should. I’d be disappointed if Franklin makes it past 6 tbh.

AJ tried to become too technical IMO, he should be a seek and destroy, kill or be killed type fighter.

Yep, he's just too tight and not clinical enough to make the Wlad Klitschko transition. He needs to go the opposite direction. Say to hell with gas tank and chin issues, I hit like a MF'er and I'm coming to put you in the ground! Think he's still probably a top 5 HW in the world, maybe top 3 if he leans into his strengths. Hope he does, cuz it makes the division a lot more fun

Completely agree. Just go for it, I think that’s enough to beat a lot of guys too.

Yeah he’s 5th at worst for me.
