Good, let's make it happen in September, forget Bivol.

Notice he always keeps saying 'we will see' and never says, Yes we will fight eventually? That is duck talk folks.

Benavidez IS THE ONLY fight left for him at 168, it should be inevitable, so Canelo should be confirming Benavidez is on his agenda not talking maybes.

That was a mandatory defense of the WBC that he won against Callum Smith.

People have terrible memories, and absolutely suck at doing basic research, especially the guy that wrote this article. Which makes sense, because it was basically a copy-paste of an earlier article. Sure hope he's not getting paid for such sloppy work.

Golovkin looked terrible against Derevyanchenko, like a shadow of the guy who fought Canelo in 2018. Not to mention those two fights against Canelo, that apparently were walks in the park by your standards? Then he looked pretty winded in the Murata fight from body shots, and we all know Canelo is better at body shots than Murata.

Not sure about the whole aging him out thing though. He went straight from becoming SMW undisputed to signing for Bivol and GGG 3. The Benavidez fight has only gotten bigger after the Plant fight, and more so if he can take on either of Charlo/Andrade. Morrell won't, because he's already mandatory for WBA. Canelo is dealing with his WBO mandatory in May with Ryder. Not sure what the deal is going to be with the IBF.

Personally, I think Morrell is THAT guy at 168. Not David.

but Canelo will avoid both. It’ll go from “no Mexicans!!” To “no Spanish in general.”

Lol knew people would complain. He said he’s interested in the fight and people still say he’s ducking. Like ..his next 2 fights are already set. Tune up after surgery vs ryder(benevidez fans crying even tho he just fought bivol) then bivol rematch. After that the door is open to possibly happening. Many things could happen in between. Maybe canelo beats bivol (unlikely but possible) and they have a 3rd match. Maybe benevidez fights another live body and loses (if he goes near morrel jr this is likely). But assuming they both keep winning..the fight will eventually happen. Winning is the cure to everything. All benevidez has to do is keep winning. His fan base is terrible tho

That he did not, you know what else he didn’t do? Unified his division, you know the thing he claimed he was all about. He instead sold his career for multiple Alvarez paydays

Jacobs was the first guy Golovkin didn't KO since 2008. Alvarez didn't wait long for the rematch, but he made GGG wait 4 years for the third fight. He felt better about fighting him a third time after letting him age some more and after seeing the hard time he had with Derevyanchenko.
The upside of your argument is that Golovkin wanted a greener Alvarez who was growing into his man body. Even when they first fought Golovkin was the bigger fighter let’s not kid ourselves. And lol at making Golovkin wait four years. Why the f would Alvarez waist his time with Golovkin? He instead did what Golovkin never accomplished, he went up to unify a division and made his brand grow like no other fighter has done in the past ten years. Better question is what did Golovkin do to deserve a third fight? Nothing that’s what, he instead waited for that payday yet again
