Benevidez had a good performance last night. Too bad they’re now back on the beg for a canelo fight train. Benevidez has beat one good opponent in his whole career. A week ago he said he wasn’t going to chase canelo anymore just win fights. 6 days later he wins and Str8 back to begging canelo. Wait ur turn keep winning and that will say more than ur loud mouth. Canelo has at least his next 2 fights lined up under matchroom boxing. The showtime broadcast was shameful dropping his name like he was gonna be fighting benevidez or plant anytime soon. They should have been plugging their own fighters. Benevidez will get savaged by morrel jr. I like David to beat charlo tho. Barley any mention of them but heard canelo a name all night even tho I know at least his next 2 fights won’t be against anyone at pbc

Ryder would’ve beat both those pbc hype jobs. That whole card was stacked with hyped up jobbers. We just paid for a second tier boxing after dark card.

Just curious. For those of you who feel Benavidez doesn’t deserve a Canelo fight just because he punished a 30 yr old former champ who Canelo already beat, how do you explain Ryder deserving a Canelo shot when his biggest win was a gift against a 35 yr old Daniel Jacobs who canelo also beat and barely sc****d by Gabe rosado in his previous fight before Ryder?

He's mandatory but he also beat Smith really so should have already fought Canelo. Smith went the distance with Canelo which Plant didn't and Benavidez couldn't get him out of there. See how this works.

Canelo knows Benavidez has the potential to provide him with a huge fight which is what he is after and last night's effort will help a lot with that but now is the time to use that momentum and fight another of the names and win and make the call for the fight so loud it can't be ignored.

Or he can continue to moan and whine and still fight Canelo anyway next year.

Canelo-Ryder is the fight no one is asking for yet it's happening. Why wouldn't Benavidez call out Canelo? Canelo should be looking at making this happen since I know he's all about challenges and you can't deny Canelo-Benavidez makes sense from a business standpoint too

Benavidez is better than everybody on clenelos resume except for Mayweather and Bivol. This fight needs to happen in September or clenelo will be the most famous pvssy ass face of boxing fighter in the history of the sport. No if,and or but

Canelo is waaay wayy better than entire benny resume, gingerboy will make easy work of benavidez. Hope he leaves bivol for later and take on benny boy right b4 year ends like u say. Benny couldn't even finish plant. Canelo will eat benny punches like its nothing and land harder ones of his own. Watch.

I think Bivol is the worse fight for Canelo. He's still going to get beat up, but by a boxer. That's a special kind of frustrating. At least with Benavidez Canelo can give and take and while he may take damage he'll still be in it because it's more of a fight than a pure boxing match. He's the better defensive fighter of the two (him and Benny), in my opinion, and can get lower for body work so he's got stuff to work off of vs. Benny. Not much for him vs. Bivol
