I imagine that Benevidez misses a lot against Canelo, Canelo does way better on the cards (rightly so or not), and both get a huge chin test. Personally I think Canelo is wrong for Benevidez. I am in 10000%

Im a canelo fan who is realistic. I know hes past his best at this point and he also seems to be taking time off after that Bivol loss and the GGG fight was probably harder than he expected so now hes fighting a bum.

beggining of 2022 i would say benavidez needed to earn his shot. Well now he fought atleast a B- canelo leftover and canelo seems to be fighting bums now and a Bivol rematch is pointless, and anything canelo does at 175 will have to be against hand picked fighters, avoiding bivol and beterbiev.....

so he might as well fight benavidez this fall. A past his best canelo and a benavidez who proved his power was overrated and his ring IQ is lower than we thought. Its actually a good matchup. It really comes down to how well David takes canelos power and how much respect he shows him going into the mid rounds. We know canelo can gas but we also know benavidez has no defense at all and canelo should be able to take a lot out of him early. canelo cant get off to a slow start or he will be in trouble late.

Yep. Canelo will have to fight Benavidez sooner or later, if he wants to keep that belts. He can`t defend 4 belts fighting cherry picked opponents.

Sooner or later we will find out who wins between these two.

Clenelo don't want the Mexican Monster smoke. He'll fight more eurobums.

Benavidez showed that he deserves an offer from Canelo, but Canelo will not oblige. It would be more devastating for Canelo to lose against Benavidez than to lose to a handpicked light heavyweight.....so he'll continue to look for fights in this weight class until fans get tired of this gimmick.

Benavidez reminds me of Tyson Fury. Awkward without the typical boxer's physique, has good boxing skills, tough to beat despite their obvious weaknesses, deceptive speed and power, ultimate confidence and the desire to beat everybody. A fighter's fighter.

Can't wait for him to fight Canelo.

Fight in light heavy is a ****** move
Oh I agree, I'm just saying out of the 2 fights at 175 those are my thoughts. He's definitely better off at 168

Using this logic, Fundora is way too big for his division.

If the fighter makes weight, he fights there.

He's gonna have a very tough time landing anything of significance against canelo. There's a reason Golovkin and kovalev didn't wanna sit down on their punches against canelo. He's got too much firepower. David will be no different.
Benavidez's awkward and unorthodox style might make things interesting but not enough to beat Canelo, levels.
