Although there is a chance Benavidez actually gets into the fight earlier than he did v Plant because Canelo is more flat footed than Plant. Benavidez really had to wait for Plant's feet to slow a bit before he could have any real success. But I think Canelo would still be defensively sound enough to win enough early rounds

I think Canelo wins a 7-5 type of fight. Although he hasnt got great stamina, his experience would get him through because I don't think Benavidez is that creative with his offense and I don't think he can knock out Canelo. I think Canelo would handle it enough to get a decision.
Yeah Canelo will have to be slippery on the inside and at mid range. He can’t just stand there with the high guard like he has at times in the past.

Only way I see Benavidez winning this is if Canelo from Golovkin I shows up and for some reason is moving and playing counter-puncher. Benavidez can potshot him and pick his spots there. Otherwise, If Canelo fights like he has since Golovkin I, he’ll take the fight to Benavidez and punish him.
You see Canelo walking him down? Yes he can throw punches and cleaner ones at that then Benavidez but he doesn't throw enough, and I'm not sure he will hurt Benavidez either.

I have it the other way, Canelo gets on his bike, pot shots and counters like the first GGG fight. Takes a couple of rounds off to rest and to win a disputed decision.

Yeah I don’t think Canelo is strong enough to push Benavidez onto the backfoot.

Canelo will fold his confidence with body shots. Also, he comes in like jelly instead of good shape without power pellets he had for plant.

                Very easy win for Canelo.

Then Benavidez will be labelled a bum after.

A competitive fight for the first 7 rounds, then Canelo gasses and gets pummpled and wins a robbery MD.
