I definitely see Benavidez coming on in the second half of the fight but I don't think he can stop Canelo, Canelo has the defensive capabilities to make Benavidez miss a lot and be wasteful with his offense (as he was in spots against Plant). Benavidez had Plant hurt for 5 rounds and couldn't finish the job, I doubt he'd be able to stop a more defensively sound fighter with a better chin in Canelo.

I think it'll come down to how much of a lead Canelo has in the first half of the fight (if any) and how well Benavidez does in the second half (unless he leaves it too late like GGG III or Callum Smith). I'm still not sure but I think it'll be a close decision either way. I really want this fight to happen but won't get my hopes up.

I think they'll both do the Booty Dew.

Maybe it’ll be more effective but I’m not so sure.
He doesn't have to be as technical. GGG was limited to jabs because of Canelo's counters.

Benavidez has better hand speed than GGG, he'll punch with Canelo and will throw caution to the wind when Canelo fires back.

He'll smother Canelo and break him down.

He will in the early rounds.

Benavidez has to try and make it an attritional battle as soon as possible.

Whoever can control the pace/tempo will have a big advantage in this fight.

If Alvarez trains, he's at least a level above Plant.

If Benavidez takes too long to get going, lets say after the 6th round, Canelo will eke out a decision.

I think Canelo boxes his ears off early, Benavidez is a bit of a plodder and seems to always start slow. However after 6/7 rounds I expect Benavidez to get going and Canelo to slow down, I think that’ll be a very tough last few rounds for Canelo as his gas tank isn’t the best and Benavidez comes on strong in the later rounds.

I’m gonna say Canelo hangs on and gets a close and maybe controversial decision.
Pretty much the same as you see it

Although there is a chance Benavidez actually gets into the fight earlier than he did v Plant because Canelo is more flat footed than Plant. Benavidez really had to wait for Plant's feet to slow a bit before he could have any real success. But I think Canelo would still be defensively sound enough to win enough early rounds

I think Canelo wins a 7-5 type of fight. Although he hasnt got great stamina, his experience would get him through because I don't think Benavidez is that creative with his offense and I don't think he can knock out Canelo. I think Canelo would handle it enough to get a decision.

There will be no eeking out. Canelo can actually throw punches. It’s not just jabs and one type of left hook. Benavidez’s pressure likely never even starts vs Canelo. He’d have to hope to outbox Saul, and he’s a sitting duck for when Canelo wants to get off on him.

Only way I see Benavidez winning this is if Canelo from Golovkin I shows up and for some reason is moving and playing counter-puncher. Benavidez can potshot him and pick his spots there. Otherwise, If Canelo fights like he has since Golovkin I, he’ll take the fight to Benavidez and punish him.

It would be a totally different fight vs Canelo who would stand right infront of David, which is suicide.
