Benavidez won, it was not close.

Benavidez wins 2 rounds against Bivol, loses by a KO to Beterbiev and loses a decision to Canelo.

Benavidez should win, but he got exposed imo. Bivol would beat him EASILY. Canelo beats him EASILY. Benavidez needs more fights to become elite. But he did very well in this fight despite not getting the stoppage.

1-0 Benavidez, pushing the action (for once). Nice hook.
1-1 Plant, nothing much happening but good boxing by Plant.
2-1 Benavidez, harder punches, buzzed Plant. Plant with a couple of nice scoring shots that aren't doing anything.
2-2 Plant, great boxing. David reaching a lot, missing tons of shots. Lands some grazing shots. Obvious low blow by Plant that was missed.
3-2 Plant. Very tight round, David landing good shots but majority are blocked. Plant with combos and clinches. David getting frustrated.
3-3 Benavidez, starting to land some good shots. Plant is evading majority but not throwing anything good back. David with a nice right and a jab with best punches of the round.
4-3 Plant. This was looking like a big David round, but Plant steals it for me. He lands a few gorgeous counters and lands nice combos. Very close though, David is aggressive and hurt Plant.
4-4 Benavidez. Yikes, Plant got destroyed. If not for that weird, uncalled for timeout he'd be a goner.
5-4 Benavidez. David hunts, Plant hugs. Not close at all.
6-4 Benavidez. Plant's getting destroyed. Don't think he actually landed a punch.
7-4 Benavidez. Plant trying to hug his way to 12th.
8-4 Benavidez with the beatdown. Clinching saved Plant 10 times.

          116-112 Benavidez for me.

Benavidez won. But who knows how the judges scored it.

Benavidez won that. I was rooting for Plant but David earned it.
