      Another failed promise.
      Like this,

Hagler could've kept fighting after losing to Leonard but what's the point? No one he would fight would've been Leonard.

      Same for GGG here.

Losing to Canelo is his legacy. That's it. He's the guy who couldn't beat the guy.

      Here's a question

If GGG beat Lara. Would you rate him any higher?

If he beat Lara, Andrade, and Charlo in succession. Would you elevate him on your rankings of greatness?

If so, how much? Would he be Hagler comparable?

What are you talking about? He was seeling out msg and l.a up until the canelo fight. He's easily one of the more popular boxers now. Hell even his fight against deryvchenko sold pretty good.

also steve rolls was a mandatory.

but yeah dazn fvkced up overpaying him and carnelo. Even worse guys like Haney and Andrade who really can't draw flies to shlt

          Promises, promises.......

Had Hagler promised to do something and did the exact opposite, I'd expect fight fans to shlt on him.

Let's see who GGG fights next, IF he doesn't retire.

As for his ''legacy'', he has none.
His 3 fight trilogy with Nelo is not a legacy.
Prior to Nelo, what is there ?

Well, that's what I am saying.

His legacy is losing to Canelo and fighting these guys does nothing to change that.

Hence, he didn't sell out his legacy. There's nothin to be had with Lara and co.

I have zero problems with him cashing out at 40+years old. And that's because he was so avoided in his heyday. Why not get paid on the way out the door? I don't think this particular circumstance is selling out.

It reminds me a lot of when Sergio Martinez fought Miguel Cotto. He had zero chance of winning, but he had to make up for lost time. These guys both had a hard time finding big money fights. They had to take the money while it was there. That to me, is not selling out.

                Talk about shabby legacies
                Going 0-1-2
Maybe Del Bum has a legacy, too ?

We shall see who GGGeezer fights next
If that guy will be >/< than Lara.

Absolutely no proof to your claims
Besides, he PROMISED ''anyone from 154-168''
                  He didn't keep his promise.
Stayed in a dead div racking up meaningless wins

Also promised to defend his MW titles
Another broken promise or are people still avoiding him ???

ggg has no legacy. All he did was duck and convince people that he was the one being ducked. That was his narrative, being a hbo hype job. He never beat any top guys convincingly to create any form of separation and many felt that he actually lost to jacobs and derevyanchenko, and couldn't beat canelo. He looked bad against a career welterweight kell brook despite stopping him. Those are the only names he fought. The rest of his career is a huge joke. He is not a hall of famer at all. When he retires, people are not going to talk about how epic his fights were. They are going to talk about how he lied and never wanted to take the tough challenges in his prime and out of his prime.

Can you blame him? GGG is the most talented middleweight I've seen in my lifetime, in any other sport his equivalent is a legend, because in every other serious sport, talent comes first. Not in boxing. Man got ducked for the better part of a decade, when he finally got his shot, he was robbed and the entire bias boxing industry acted like he wasn't - collectively no fuss was made. **** look at this thread, look at these western boxing fans acting like he didn't dominate Canelo.

Like many others he's recognised what a joke Boxing is, how rigged it is against him as an Eastern European and he's correctly been all about the money since that first Canelo fight.
