He's the oldest or second oldest middleweight champion ever and had over 300 amateur fights. How many 40 year old champions are there currently or ever? Not many. He wanted to fight all the top names - Cotto, Martinez, etc when he was in his early 30s and closer to prime but they all ducked him. Most boxers have long retired by his age. What legacy fight could he have in his early 30s that he avoided?

He promised the MW div he would go back and defend his titles.
I guess doing NOTHING is better than defending titles.

Let’s be real about triple g

he ducked Lara back when Lara would have been best name on his resume….before canelo…Lara was #1 at 154 and calling for it…loeffler and Abel and all of gold kids fans we’re making excuses…loeffler was saying he don’t sell and nobody knows him…abrl and loeffler saying “get in line and get some wins at 160”…why? He’s the man at 154 st the time and said he’d come up

that’s when I figured this guy out…hbo was trying to turn him Into manny pac part 2….they wanted no part of Lara because they didn’t think golovkin would look great …hbo paid him to headline against guys they would have never greenlighted for anyone else as a headliner

I’ll never forget the way golovkin fans talked about jacobs “Danny duckin…he scared …he got dropped by mora lol” then after the fight it’s “Danny was a cruiser in there”

never forget how they talked about how golovkin would end canelos career savagely…then cried about how canelo fought along with golovkin team….only to have canelo oblige them in a rematch and golovkin still not able to get it done

golovkin was a good fighter….that’s it…that’s about it….some of y’all had him a as the greatest mw Of all time…don’t tell me ppl didn’t…I was there

You didnt answer the question. What is he supposed to do? He has no promoter and no network deal. WHO is going to buy that fight? Is he supposed to fight for $250k? Who is going to pay Lara?

There just isnt any revenue source willing to make that fight, because everyone knows how it ends. Lara stinks the place out until Golovkin eventually catches him and puts his lights out.

              Awwww......poor OLD GGG......
Everyone has fights worth making but him

Maybe he can give Chenko a well earned rematch ?

If you take a look, his ENTIRE PRIME years were about this level of opponent.

Don't spend half your life mucking around with amateurs. It's a waste of time and time is extremely valuable.
Don't stay in a dead div racking up empty W's. It will backfire.

Also, GGG didn't have an issue fighting bums like Rolls or Vanes or Kamil or Murata (the better of these bums)....

If I were advising him I would suggest retirement. There are no more mega-paydays out there for him, he is slowing down and not looking that great anymore. Father Time is undefeated. Time to shut it down,,,,,,,

                    Sounds about right.
3 Nelo checks, he should be set for life.

If any good came from GGG dumping his belts, it made BigNoShow stop making threads about Nelo
