ward had the easiest schedule in the super 6 and had hometown advantage in every single fight. he was the only guy in that tournament that didn't have to leave his home country, fought alternate allan green (in oakland) and somehow got to bypass andre dirrell's replacement (glen johnson) to fight sakio bika (in oakland) in a fight that wasn't part of the tournament. i guess you mean killers like weight drained chad dawson, which was the only post-super 6 fight he had at 168.
Calzaghe vs Ward @ 168

Joe also had hometown advantage he spent his whole SMW reign fighting nobodies on the Cardiff ice rink.
How was it the easiest schedule? He had to fight Kessler, Froch & Abraham the three best fighters in the tournament excluding himself.Comment

like i said, i think ward and calzaghe are both overrated, but calzaghe wasn't in that tournament. the whole thing about the super 6 was that everyone would fight each other in that first round while doing at least one away fight, which ward didn't. kessler was a good win but the headbutts really mar that fight. it was almost like ward got to skip an entire round of that tournament and go straight to the final. kessler and froch are good wins, especially froch. it's a better win than anyone calzaghe had, but i think calzaghe edges ward if they were to fightComment

Calzaghe wins a wide ud. His volume/speed/iq is all wrong for Ward. Ward wants to slow you down, same as Hopkins. It’s not possible to slow Joe down.Comment

8-4 Calzaghe unless they fought in Oakland. Ward wasn't all that great, his wins over Kovalev (2) and Mikkel Kessler exposed just how unprofessional he was and how much he needed dirty tactics to win.Comment

And that's if he actually even won vs. Kovalev the first time, and that's VERY DEBATABLE.Comment

This. This is why Usyk is so hard for people to figure out. It's almost the exact same style. High volume southpaw with tons of movement. A nightmare of a fight for anyone. Just ask Tyson Fury.Comment
