    Calzaghe vs Ward @ 168

Energizer Bunny "keeps going and going..." vs the Snake "wraps around you like a well worn tire..." lol
Ward's "battle of attrition" vs Joe's "survival of the fittest".
Looks like a Pick Em 50/50 fight.

Andre Ward wins this fight in a 10-2 decision. He won't give Joe the opportunity to fight at his preferred mid range.

I don’t know as much about Joe as I should. I’m not a Joe expert but damn Dre was a handful at 168 and a smart fighter also. Tough, smart, hell of a boxer as a righty or lefty.

Maybe so. It might depend on location. If they fight in the UK the ref might stop Ward from turning the fight into a wrestling match.

I'd favor Joe. He showed that he can answer the call against a dirty fighter like Hopkins, he'd be able to counter those same dirty tactics against Ward who didn't fight as aggressively as Hopkins. Joe was also slicker than all of the opponents Ward faced. Ward shined against slow flat-footed stiffs who stood in front of him.

            Ward is a different level.

Calzaghe can handle the skill level of Ward 'Proof of this is his performances vs Bernard Hopkins at 175 pounds'.

Hopkins was not at his peak, but neither Calzaghe was at his peak.

It is a close fight to predict, almost definitely it would be a split decision.

Note: The version of Hopkins Calzaghe beat, would also push Ward really close 'That is another 50/50 fight at 175 pounds'.

Ward is such a myth. ' elite inside game' doe which consisted of a Wlad like technique of constant clinching, then potshotting a jab. rushing in with his head while mixing in elbows lowblows and headbutts. rinse and repeat all fight with a reff that allows him to get away with it. Hence why he never fought without 'hometown advantages'
                Calzaghe wins on activity alone.

Calzaghe 115-113. Calzaghe beat prime (late Bloomer) Hopkins, as well as near prime Roy Jones Jr. Ward lost the first Kovalev fight, we all know that, and that "victory" massively enhanced his legacy just because Boxrec says Andre Ward W, when we all know it was an L. Nash out

I favour Ward pretty strongly in this matchup. Think he’d be a nightmare for Calzaghe stylistically. I thought Hopkins exposed several flaws in Joe tbh.
