Don’t get it twisted, he’s in the business of making money too. He knows the reality is 30% v Fury is still a LOT more than he can make as the A-side v Dubois or something. and the truth is Fury knows they know that too, that’s why he held out for a bigger percentage.

Fury is a cunning guy, he knows Usyk and his team still want to make the most money. so he can get 30% and still get big money or he can fight Dubois for a few million. Boxing careers can end at any moment, so they’ll go for the bigger money when it comes down to it.

lets be real, Fury isn’t the first one to use leverage to take much bigger/unfair splits and won’t be the last.

It’s tedious watching it play out as a boxing fan, but fighters have been doing it for years

The 7% offer to Joyce had nothing to do with Usyk wanting more money for that fight and everything to do with him getting the fight he really wanted, which was his WBO mandatory shot at AJ. It was a deliberate, tactical low ball aimed at prolonging negotiations with Joyce until the Fury/Wilder arbitration was settled. Usyk knew that if Wilder won the arbitration, the WBO would order AJ to fight Usyk immediately and the interim title fight between Usyk and Joyce would be cancelled, which is exactly what happened.

He was asking Eddie for more money to fight AJ because AJ and Eddie were asking him for a rematch clause. A mandatory challenger is not agreeing to a rematch clause without getting something in return.

Of course, he wouldn't literally fight for free. But he does seem to one of those rare fighters for whom money is not the be all and end all.

The guy inhales every punch that's thrown. A guy in the back row could punch the air. Joyce would run back and eat it.

I think Tyson Fury has known for sometime, what offer HE was personally going to announce publicly.

I honestly think Fury has played with Usyk during these negotiations 'And was always going to offer a 70-30 percent split'.

Fury would of most likely weighed up Usyk just as a man along time ago. He knows that Usyk has a track record of fighting on the road, he knows that Usyk is more accommodating than some of Fury's last opponents.

These negotiations have been unprofessional in my opinion, and once again it has been extremely difficult for Fury's competition 'To actually get the fight vs Fury'.

It is unprecedented, I don't think there has ever been a Top level Champion who behaves like Fury.

But if I deal has been made, and both fighters have agreed 'Then that is awesome'.

Note: Fury is turning himself into a heel, and do you know what? I think he is deliberately doing this 'The Riddler'. I personally don't think Fury cares for titles and legacy as much as people would expect 'And I also don't think he cares too much about what his fans or people in the boxing world think of him'. And to a certain extent this is definitely not a bad trait.

I have always been adamant that Fury does not like being a Champion, he does not like the mandates or the expected conduct that you must have as a Champion 'That is why he behaves the way he does, ever since he become Champion'.

That’s the thing terms were already agreed to in Saudi . Terms being agreed to is just more time to have Tyson look like he didn’t price himself out , I expect Warren to once again fiddle with the contract just enough it cannot be accepted by team Usyk , until it’s actually announced I see this as a time waster . Usyk should just walk away at this point and take the unofficial win regardless, this would end Fury circus for good at the top level which he seems not to be to concerned about anyway with these goofball demands .

The only other possible thing I can see here, is that Fury knows he can't beat Usyk, and is trying to cash put before he retires. Even if Usyk doesn't fight him, Fury will forever be branded a duck.

For someone who's a proud Gypsy the people who will supposedly fight any time, anywhere.........

Fury sure is acting pretty cowardly.

I would laugh so hard if Usyk boxes Fury's ears off, en route to a lop-sided 10-2 or 11-1 type decision, and judges have no choice but to give him the decision. Kind of like Joshua 1. :P

I’m loving reading all the moisty, fan girl, celebutard, grade school drama that mostly illiterate posters yap on about within these boards. They incessantly speculate on defense of their man crushes as if they themselves are in continual conversations with either camp or have some special “back channel” explaining as to why the fight still hasn’t happened. This is worse than a group of women walking into work the next day juicing over the drama that played out during the episode of Melrose Place from the night before.

All of you going back and forth over this s h I t are mentally stunted, helmet wearing, drool cup toting, window licking, full fledged r e t a rds!

If it's true that Usyk accepted his B-Side and agreed to 30%, it COMPLETELY exposes Terence Crawford. And NSB, for that matter.
