The 50/50 hang up does not hinge on Fury fearing a loss.
Why did Fury get the lion share of the purse (perhaps 90 to 10) when he fought Chisora and Whyte?
If Fury was to fight any boxer, he would get the lion share of the pot. This is pure economics 101 - Fury brings in the crowd.
It is the same with Canelo. Do you think Canelo-Benavidez should be a 50/50 split? Or Canelo vs any of the guys at 168. Canelo and Fury are today’s boxing cash cows.
Usyk accepted 20-80 split for AJ. Now he demands 50-50 for Fury. This is a duck plain and simple. Usyk is well aware that he is not generating 50% of the revenue for the matchup, but he claims since he has belts he needs a portion of the revenue that Fury will generate. Fury has been the champion longer AND generates the revenue.Last edited by elfag; 03-08-2023, 10:01 AM.

Tyson Fury has fought TWO top-10 opponents in 7 years. This is a ducker if ever I saw one - his only top-10 opponents (Whyte and Wilder) were very good fighters but not very skillful boxers. Fury is scared of anyone skillful after the Cunningham and Wallin fights (neither of whom are on Usyk's level)
The guy needs to man up.

Vegas isn't interested? If you google Tyson Fury Kinahan, there are articles saying Tyson Fury was refused entry into the US in 2022, because of his involvement with Kinahan. I don't know if the situation was ever straightened out. I'd be happy to hear differently.

I agree that the whole Top Rank/Probellum situation is very shady. There's pictures of Arum/Kinahan/Fury all together.

Ok, can you respond to the point made - Why did Usyk accept a 20/80 split with AJ but now demands a 50/50 split with Fury?
A 30/70 split would be fair. Maybe a 35/65 split but to act like you are the draw and ask for a 50/50 split is another of ducking a fight.
