      By asking for a 50/50 purse split? He isn't the one who is gonna sell the tickets or move the PPV buys. That would be Tyson Fury, the most accomplished HW of this era. If he isn't scared he'd be realistic and take what he is worth. He's a great fighter but Fury is the best HW in the sport and holds just about every advantage in this fight. His heart can't be questioned, his chin is granite, his skills are amazing. Again Usyk needs to get real with himself and take a reasonable purse split. He only brings Fury's old belts to the table. Get outta here with that nonsense.

        If Fury dropped down to Usyk size, Fury would not win, but Usyk fighting up against Fury in his division, Usyk cannot win.
        Good point! I'm biased being smaller and always finding ways to adjust but, Otto Wallin is 2 inches taller and has the same reach. 6'5 vs 6'9 is different than 6'3 vs 6'9 but, you have to carry that 6.9 frame and Fury's knees say slot about his ability to do road work. As skilled as Fury is, there was never enough talent at HW for me to be 100% or even 60% sold on him. On top of that, Fury's antics went from marketing to sounding like he's trying to convince himself that it'll be easy.

        I know a guy more than double my size with crazy fast and skilled hands, I always knew I could take him as long as I didn't get pinned down.

        Biased opinion on my end..

          Really? He fights tall so well he was nearly stopped by Otto Wallin, and dropped by Steve Cunningham. Care to elaborate? Fury's defense is vastly overrated. This fight will be a lot closer than people think, and Fury knows that. Which is why he's holding out.

            Please. 50/50 is more than reasonable. Usyk holds multiple recognized world titles, while Fury holds one. Fury isn't looking too confident in himself here. Besides, didn't he get like $100 million USD for one of those bogus fights against Chisora or Whyte recently?

            He doesn't need anymore money. He has enough for 10 lifetimes. He's simply using that as an excuse to keep taking soft touch fights. He knows this fight is a pick em, coin flip type fight, and at this stage of his career, he doesn't want that type of fight.

            Don't believe me? The proof is in the pudding; His last two fights were against Chisora and Whyte. Both of whom posed no real threat.

            Usyk is a problem. A big problem for Fury, and he knows it.

              I *SERIOUSLY* doubt Fury fights Ruiz at this point! Even for big money!

                I don't think Fury can fight in the US because of his association with Kinahan

                    If 50/50 is more than reasonable, if Floyd was to unretire and challenge Spence or Crawford, I suppose you think it should be 50/50 because they are belt holders? Floyd should split a $200 million pot with Two guys that will never see $20 million paydays because they have belts.

                    As you astutely wrote, Fury made $100 million in a bogus fight, can Usyk make $50 million in a legit fight let alone $100 million?

                      You're missing my point entirely, so I'll spell it out for you;

                      BOTH MEN DO NOT NEED MONEY. So why is a 50/50 split such a big hangup? I'll tell u why; Because Fury wants to make sure he gets a huge payday in the event that he gets beat. At this point, he probably wouldn't take a 60/40 split. Reason being, because he knows there is a very good possibility he loses! It's clear as day, Fury is ducking here. At first Usyk said he needed some time to heal some injuries, but he's been pushing for this fight for at least the last 2-3months.

                      Fury isn't too sure he can beat Usyk. It's painfully obvious.
