When Byrd complained to Don King, King asked him a simple question - “Of the 20,000 polish fans here, how many are here to watch you?”
The fight was at Madison Square Garden.

I cannot think of a better example than that.
That is not a great example, if you have seen the boxing fans reaction to this fight? You will see that Usyk now has masses of support 'You can already witnessed this within this very forum, their are plenty of hardcore Fury fans who have admiration for Usyk'.

Usyk I don't think will be booed in the UK, is that what you are expecting? Fury overrates his support completely, and he overrates his drawing power currently right now.

The claim that all the boxing fans are just turning up to watch Fury, is not entirely accurate.

Dubois vs Usyk in my opinion would also be a big event 'If Usyk is matched correctly, he can be involved in big majored events that do not involve Tyson Fury'.

Also what is essentially making this fight a big fight 'Is that it is for the Undisputed title' It is definitely not all about Tyson Fury.

Note: Many fighters in the UK can do stadium fights, it just seems to be a current part of UK boxing culture 'And I honestly think the actual fighters and some fans overrated the draw of the fighters because of this'. When in reality the crowds at these fights, the quality of fan for me is not very high 'Large majority are just people attending to sing songs and having a good time, and let me make this clear? There is nothing wrong with that'.

I don't buy into this hype that all these fighters are mega fighters 'They just happen to be competing at a time, were this stadium culture has appeared'.

As I have just stated 'Dubois vs Usyk or Joyce vs Usyk' these fights could also be staged in outdoor stadium complexes.

I agree 100% with you. I read another example which makes sense too. Imagine being cast in a big budget Hollywood movie with Tom Cruise. You auditioned for it and got the 2nd lead role meaning you share top billing with Tom Cruise.
Cruise gets paid $25 million and you get paid $100K. It happens a lot.
      Is that fair?

I absolutely do not think or believe Usyk will be booed in the UK or any where for that matter. Usyk is very much respected by almost everyone.
What I will disagree with you is regarding Fury’s drawing power - Fury vs Whyte sold 85,000 tickets in three hours. Think about that for a second.

Nobody thought that was a great fight. I am a Fury fan and criticized that meaningless fight. It was meaningless without a doubt. How many of those do you think bought tickets because of Whyte?

You don't quite understand the dynamic in the UK.

The UK is a sporting nation, they will turn up and support big sporting events 'Regardless of whether they are long terms fans of the sport'.

It is apart of UK sporting culture. Countries like Australia are similar in this regard.

Dubois vs Usyk or Joyce vs Usyk could also be staged in a outdoor stadium complex.

It is just a part of UK boxing culture currently right now.

No disrespect but, for a day out? UK people or sporting fans will turn up and support most sports in mass 'It is also a nationalistic trait'.

They like to be seen supporting and staging good sporting events.

There are many fighters right now in the UK, who people would say are not really big fighters.

But they could all stage big fights in an outdoor stadium complex. People want to have a good time, and to be seen to be at a event.

It is a different dynamic in other countries around the world 'Sporting fans or the public are more difficult to entice and please'.

I honestly think people overrate fighters these days, from the UK when they fight in big stadium events.

I follow soccer ⚽️ and premier league is the most exciting league so I get how rabid UK fans are for their sport so you’re probably right about Fury-Usyk being staged in the UK. I don’t think Fury sees it that way hence the stalled but now resolved negotiations.
