I like Matias, and while I do want to see the fight, I don't think that he should be so ****y before fighting Prograis. Regis is going to give him all types of work, but is more defensively responsible than Subriel. Matias should be humble, get to work with people that can improve his technical skills on defense, and spend time watching film. Prograis isn't anything to play with.

I mentioned in a previous post that I forgot that and gave Cattarell credit for challenging Prograis, he was actually first. He has gotten screwed over by the Taylor negotiations and postponements.

Yeah I've since seen that. Reading through in order. I saw it after I replied.

Taylor refused a Prograis rematch and since then he has never looked the same. Taylor took too much damage, he barely scratched out a win against Ramirez and arguable lost against Catterall. Josh Taylor isn't what he was and lucky if he makes it past another guy on the downside....Teofimo Lopez.

Take out the word arguable and the rest of this post is factual.

That's an insightful take on the man's character, I hope that you're right, that this is entirely out of place, and forced.
Because all of the times that I had heard Matias talk in the past he was soft spoken, and really measured with his words.
It seems like Ananyan, Ponce, and Prograis, have gotten under his skin, for one reason or another.
That said I hope that cooler head's in his camp are able to restore order to his mind set, and corner in the future, he needs do be better than that.

Bro Prograis was going hard on some of the guys at 140lb including Matias just a few months ago. Talking about how he likes to hurt guys etc. So when Matias was asked about that he responded I think appropriately. Matias has been asked about other guys at 140 and he was cool no issues.

I've noticed when certain guys talk trash its all good with everyone media included they say "aw just a little gamesmanship" but when it's other guys doing it back they get called out for it left and right.

Matias imo responded right and thing is Matias doesn't play when he's pissee he'll show you.
