Fury can only lay claim to Clinchko, but that was almost 10 years ago. Other than that, it's just Wilder, and he struggled with him.
It's Even Steven from my eyes. 50-50 is fair here.
In the context of achievement, you are absolutely right, but this is about popularity.
Let me try a different hypocritical example, let’s say Bud and Spence fought a year ago and one of them became the unified champion. If Floyd was to unretire and challenge the unified champion, Floyd would never agree to a 50/50 split even though the unified champion deserves it.
Even better example, do you think Canelo would accept a 50/50 deal with Bivol in the rematch? Bivol is the champ and already beat Canelo so it should be a 50/50 split but Bivol, like Usyk does not bring in the money.

Are you someone who fücks goats?
Let’s see if the Arabs will have their fight without Fury.
You are a bonafide idiot

Wilder hadn't been on PPV before he fought Fury but Fury had and they need Fury to have a single recognisable name on their resume hence their choosing of what they thought was a shot Fury...

Arabs wont have a show without Fury. Fury is selling the PPV for the arabs. they should pay him accordingly
The Arabs paid Usyk more for his last fight than Fury has ever earned for one fight in his entire career.
And yeah, you could say that was because of Joshua, not Usyk. Just like AJ vs Usyk 1 selling out a stadium and a million+ PPVs was because of Joshua, not Usyk.
And Usyk vs Chisora selling more UK PPVs than Fury/Chisora was because of Chisora, not Usyk.
And Usyk vs Bellew selling 800k PPVs was because of Bellew, not Usyk.
The question is ... how many A side opponents does one man have to fight and beat before he stops being an automatic B side?Last edited by kafkod; 02-14-2023, 01:55 PM.

Even the immensely popular and global icon, Pacqiao couldn’t get a 50/50 split with Floyd.
It doesn’t matter if Usyk has all the four belts, Fury would be generous to give him 30%

But people don’t really understand it’s a negotiation. Usyk’s team will start at an equal figure knowing that might get knocked down a bit, so why would they start low? Set your stall but know what you’re willing to accept at the end.
If Usyk gets 40-45 to fight Fury at Wembley, it’s still more money than any other fight he can get right now.
Fury’s sold out Wembley last year, he could sell it out again v Joyce or Wilder or AJ and others, considering he did v Whyte and most of them won’t get near 50%. So they’re looking at it wondering why they’re giving 50% of the revenue away to a guy that doesn’t bring as many viewers
That’s where the negotiation comes in and they will probably settle on some split that favours fury if it is in the UK , but more than Usyk can get elsewhere and everyone will be happy.
Beterbiev vs Bivol is a better example. One of them trying to push back on the undisputed fight if 50/50 was on the table would be a bad look for whoever was trying to push for a lop-sided deal.

Latest word on Fury/Usyk from Frank Warren.
He's saying the Wembley date is pencilled in but not confirmed and there is still a chance the fight could end up in Arab Land.
He's optimistic that he and Krassyuk will iron out a deal in the next day or two.
And as far as he knows, there have been no talks with Wilder's team about Fury vs Wilder 4.
Fingers crossed the undisputed fight is going to happen!

Joshua is just as big a name as Fury is hence the 50/50 agreement.
How much do you think Usyk would make if he were to fight Whyte or Ruiz? I doubt he makes $5 million.
Fury will make $30 million fighting anyone including Forrest Gump.
I like Usyk and I hope he gets paid good money but 50/50 is not happening unless of course Fury decides to be generous
