While Canelo is a good fighter, people have made the mistake of thinking he’s like a Duran , Floyd or Pac. Guys that have made significant weight jumps and been able to compete at a high level against elite opposition. The illusion was created by canelo beating mid level belt holders at 168 and the win over the ghost of Kovalev. He’s not competing against guys like Bivol or Beterbiev and may end up getting badly hurt. He’s actually likely to get badly hurt against Benavidez as well.

Canelo seems to be aging worse than Beterbiev. Could be that he has nearly triple the fights, and that takes its toll, but I would pick a 38/39 year old Artur over a 32/33 year old Saul.
Canelo's best days are clearly behind him and I doubt he's going to go for interesting, dangerous fights for the remainder of his career.Rebelrbg likes this.

One time fan but eventually people reveal who they are. Now go sit in the corner with your pointy hat and STFU

Did someone really suggest that fighting Beterbiev would be "ducking" that clown Benavidez?
Are we trying to say that Benavidez is more dangerous than the guy in the weight class above who's the only champion with a 100% stoppage rate?
Someone must think very highly of that coke head.
Beterbiev has a very good chin, and when was the last time we saw Canelo winning rounds on the back foot? Not seeing it. 168 is likely his limit.
