Bottom line.....Devin wants out and he needs an excuse to save face.
I reckon you don't even believe your nonsense. It's Lamo who ran from Haney when he was his mando. If Lamo is convinced he can beat Haney and become the undisputed then It won't be difficult for him to accept whatever Haney has offered him. Haney accepted all ridiculous demand by Kambosos and had to change promotor in order to get the fight. So, if the fight doesn't happen It's because Lamo doesn't really want it.

I thought I explained it but maybe not simple enough.
        1. Haney's deal with Curious George never included Haney giving up part of his purse.
        2. Haney isn't asking for a bigger purse split, he already has that, Haney is demanding that Lomachanko give him money from his pocket.
        3. If it is about money and Haney is already getting the bigger split and wants more that's great, but why isn't Haney taking that up with Arum like Teofimo did?
        4. If Lomachanko doesn't take the deal, tell us who will. Who do you think will give Haney part of their purse? In the end nobody will give up their purse to fight Haney but that's the point to Haney's ridiculous demands.

Lopez isn't giving up part of his purse to fight Devin Haney, that's not going to happen. And neither is Tank, Garcia, Progrias or any other top junior-welterweight but maybe that's the point.

              • Lomachanko is not, nor has he ever... asked anyone for more money, fact. He signed a contract for a set amount with Arum. Haney also signed a contract with Arum but he's not asking Arum for more money like Teofimo, Haney is demanding Loma take it from his pocket. Also a fact.

Now that we have that out of the way it's time to apply a little logic....

Everyone knows that Teofimo isn't giving up a penny from his pocket so that's dead talk, DOA. I think we can also agree that nobody from 135-140 will give Haney part of their purse and Devin Haney knows it. In the end, Devin Haney isn't demanding additional money from anyone other than Lomachanko. Why? Simple logic tells us that it's not about the money, it's about forcing Lomachanko to turn down the fight.

For the record, Haney is a big guy just like Nakatani but chinny...with less heart...and no power.
Nope, please just quote where you heard or seen that Haney is asking Loma for money from his purse. I believe that I stay pretty current, and I've never heard anything of the sort. But, I did see on YouTube that the only hold up at the moment, is Loma asking for his purse to be upped to his maximum pay out for a fight because he felt that is what he should receive for an undisputed fight of this magnitude. Just go to YouTube and put in Loma asking for maximum pay.

Haney doesn't have a reason to fear a guy that he's been calling out for years and has every advantage over.

Call outs? I hope Haney's call out isn't the entire foundation of your argument because Haney basically called out everyone knowing that he wasn't getting any of the fighters he named. One because he had an exclusive contract with DAZAN, two beating a 2nd terr George Kambosos didn't give him a name and lastly, he's simply not a draw draw. most people don't even know who he is. Example: Haney called out Tank Davis but lets be honest, I knew that fight had zero chance so did Devin but that didn't stop him until Davis took him apart in a recent interview. "Call outs mean nothing if the caller keeps moving the goal post."

Lastly, about Lomachanko's purse; Loma like Crawford signed a guaranteed purse based upon performance, there is no more and there is no less, just the contract. A contract that Bob cried about and tried to modify throughout the entire pandemic. In the end Arum paid out according to the signed contract and he will continue until he is no longer contractually obligated, simple as that. There is no wiggle room at Top Rank, it's either in the contract or it's not. Anyone that claims otherwise should get in-touch with Arum because they obviously figured out a way to break a contract that Arum tried and couldn't.

For the record, yes I saw the youtube video you mentioned and nothing was fact based, nothing. A bunch of edited conversations without context and twisted to match wishful thinking then repeated over and over as if repeating would make it magically true. Someone referred to it as the definition of the Dunning-Kruger effect in action.

IDK, it wasn't too long ago that a majority of fans would have picked the opposite outcome. Opinions can change quickly and dramatically after one fight, and then again after the next one. Haney is faster and slicker than GK, he proved that, but what does that mean against Teofimo who presents a far greater physical threat than GK? The biggest question marks about Haney (his chin and toughness) remain question marks, especially as he moves up in weight. Not sure who wins between Lopez and Haney at 140lbs, but I'm fairly certain that its not going to be an easy night for either guy.

I don’t like Haney but he beats Lopez easily. They won’t take that fight.
