I disagree! Browny needs help, FROM HIS PROMOTERS! Notice how Top Rank (Zayas & Berlanga) and Matchroom (Serrano), regularly make events for their fighters in NYC? Shakur stays fighting in Newark! Subriel is fighting for a title IN MINNEAPOLIS!!! PBC promoted more fights for Deontay Wilder in Brooklyn, than for Subriel Matias! That's just ******! Matias, Luis Ortiz, Puello, Lubin, and Lara, should be in heavy rotation in NYC or Florida!

I was already pretty enthusiastic about Morrell coming into his last fight; but after his latest performance, I’m very high on him. David still has more to prove, obviously, but I’d put my money on him over Berlanga any day of the week.Comment

You misunderstand when I say that Browny doesn't need any help, I mean he can fight absolutely anyone in his division.I disagree! Browny needs help, FROM HIS PROMOTERS! Although Berlanga think's that he's a star he can't be matched up with certain fighter's, because he hasn't shown elite level skill's.
I enjoy watching Subriel fight, a lot more than watching Zayas or Berlanga, his **** that, I'm going to knock this dude out attitude is the bomb!
I haven't seen that kind of killer instinct in a Puerto Rican since Felix "Tito" Trinidad, he's just a straight up assassin in the ring.
He's getting ready to have a break out year, and other promoter's would be wise to align themselves with the Puerto Rican promoter who has him under contract.

I have to agree with you on that, Berlanga has to come out of the 6 month's suspension guns blazing. In order to make up for lost time, and wasted opportunities that come from prolonged inactivity.

Edgar’s power is both his blessing and his curse. Berlanga may already be too far gone to believe he has to work on improving other areas of his game. Power is only one component. Lots of fighters in history that were known for their clout, but never reached the heights. The thing that impressed me most about Morrell’s last bout was how he KOed a worthy opponent late in the fight. That’s what champions do.Comment

I knew what you meant, but I just wanted emphasize, that if he was with a different promoter, he would be fighting in NYC like his Puerto Rican counterparts! Only one loss, and avenged that loss by KO! He would be a STAR in NYC! If he unifies with Puello or Russell, it should be in the Barclay's Center!

The fighter needs to believe he's got something to learn and be motivated to learn. Berlanga seems to think he's got nothing to learn and is already a big deal. I suspect he'll end up going through quite a few trainers with his ego. He hasn't made any adjustments despite switching trainers last year. Who would you tap for the role if you were the promoter?Whoever he decides to sign with needs to protect there investment by putting him with a trainer that can sharpen the tools he already has, while introducing him to the technical skills that he is deficient in. They should bring in a team that offers the best sparring partners available, while caring and pushing him on the aspect of development. He must feel that they are confident in him, but also pulling him up to the level he desires to be successful.Comment
