Nobody in the UK has a clue who Ryder is.

Hearn trying to set Ryder up as a Haugen.

Except Ryder could never hold Haugens jock strap

If Canelo wants home field advantage, he should probably stick to Texas or California. He’s more revered by his Mexican American fans than Mexicans. I’m sure he’ll get good support down there but don’t get it twisted , he’s no Chavez to them.

lol let’s ignore that “Canelo wants to go back home and fight in front of his home crowd” as stated multiple times. Canelo Vs any UK fighter sells out Wembley stadium easily.

They went from targeting a UK fight to suddenly coming out with this story. They realised Canelo is not quite the worldwide star to be selling out UK stadiums and Ryder has never been a ticket seller.

John rider is ok at best and Canela looking for easy fights after that a_Swhipping he took against Bivol and then a harder than expected fight against GGG whom he still can’t beat up even though GGG 105 years old. Mexican legacy is to the back of the pack now.

Ryder is probably the last person people want to see Canelo fight but you have to give Ryder some props for beating Parker and Jacobs back to back. If only Andrade could face and beat someone on the level of the people Ryder had beaten he could be next in line.

They were never targeting UK, just exploring. As Hearn mentioned, Canelo will take a huge pay cut to fight in Mexico, but he’s well-off and just wants to fight at home. Canelo-billy joe had an attendance of 74k; the UK fan base is real and they love boxing. A Canelo fight in the UK would do Tyson fury type attendance.

I typically enjoy your comments, but I think you are kidding on this one. You should let the posters here know that the WWF did not have real fights. Professional wrestling fights are staged productions, but I do get your larger point that there were times, when the best boxers fought the best and often more than once. But even in those times, there is a limited number of top boxers, so the elite boxers had to fight 2nd and 3rd tier guys just to stay busy.
