Comments Thread For: Hearn: Canelo Really Wants To Fight In Mexico On May 6th; I Think It'll Be John Ryder

If Canelo wants home field advantage, he should probably stick to Texas or California. He’s more revered by his Mexican American fans than Mexicans. I’m sure he’ll get good support down there but don’t get it twisted , he’s no Chavez to them.

Ryder is probably the last person people want to see Canelo fight but you have to give Ryder some props for beating Parker and Jacobs back to back. If only Andrade could face and beat someone on the level of the people Ryder had beaten he could be next in line.

The build up will have no heat, and there is no rivalry between them. This type of thing would never be accepted in the WWF Attitude era, an era where the best fought the best and had storylines and rivalries with the best. Nash out
