Ryder is probably the last person people want to see Canelo fight but you have to give Ryder some props for beating Parker and Jacobs back to back. If only Andrade could face and beat someone on the level of the people Ryder had beaten he could be next in line.

They were never targeting UK, just exploring. As Hearn mentioned, Canelo will take a huge pay cut to fight in Mexico, but he’s well-off and just wants to fight at home. Canelo-billy joe had an attendance of 74k; the UK fan base is real and they love boxing. A Canelo fight in the UK would do Tyson fury type attendance.

There is no storyline here. John Ryder has 0.00% chance of beating Canelo. it will be very one-sided. The build up will have no heat, and there is no rivalry between them. I typically enjoy your comments, but I think you are kidding on this one. You should let the posters here know that the WWF did not have real fights. Professional wrestling fights are staged productions, but I do get your larger point that there were times, when the best boxers fought the best and often more than once. But even in those times, there is a limited number of top boxers, so the elite boxers had to fight 2nd and 3rd tier guys just to stay busy.
