Benavidez and his camp are coming off as real Douche bags, they already look bad Because of the drug test results and the missed weight and now they’re sinking even lower, I thought David had more class but it seems he’s as scummy as his out of control full of rage Brother, and the father seems to be another idiot, another low life along for the ride adding to the drama instead of keeping his two Pitbulls under control, now I’m hoping David gets his ass handed to him.

It's odd to see Benavidez thrash talk so much! Having watched a lot of interviews with him and I found him to be a kind and humble person. It's either an act to sell more tickets, maybe he's taking it personal or maybe he's had a coffee with Kalle or Kell Brook.

I'm rooting for Benavidez via points or late stoppage - if he's not reckless and follows his game plan!

However, I wouldn't be surprised if Plant get's a decision if he comes very well prepared.

It will be an awesome fight, 2023 looking good so far for boxing fans.

Perhaps Benevidez wasn't acting. Perhaps in reality, he is a douche. Regardless, Plant seems to always bring out the worst in his foes during the hype period and build-up to a fight. For this one, mission complete. BOTH Benevidez and Plant are balls-to-the-wall top-flight 168lb talent. I expect a great fight. Hopefully this time, Benevidez keeps his pants up and there are no more, less-than-professional mitigating factors affecting his commision (should he earn one), before, after or on the scale.

Yeah man, I already posted a comment about this. It's pretty odd to see Benavidez acting like this. Maybe Plant is just a sneaky bastard behind the scenes... I remember how he triggered was Canelo.

The dads should stay out of boxing--they should be seen but not heard. Devin Haney, Teofimo, Benavidez & others have dads who live out their fantasies through their sons. The boxers themselves usually speak calmly unless Dad is around.

Sweet Cheeks doesnt have the power to push him back or cancel him momentum when he comes forward ala Bivol vs Ramirez (I believe this dude and Benavidez are literally the same fighter). Hence Sweet Cheeks will gas around 8th as he did before Canelo and Uzgategui and Benavidez will steamroll him in the last 3rd of the fight.

Everything Plant does is going to frustrate David. I think David will eventually reach Plant, but Plant's movement, defense, and punch selection/hand speed are going to give him problems for the first half of the fight.

I definitely give a clear edge to Benavidez, but I can't say that Plant has no chance of winning.

I think he has shown improvement working with new trainer 'Breadman' Edwards, a regular contributor to boxingscene as well. He seems like a very knowledgeable trainer who studies the history of boxing.

Plant cannot win this fight just being on his bicycle and throwing pitty pat jabs. He has to just take a step back here and there, slip and slide, make David miss and pay. Basically inside, quick exchange, and get out.

He can't brawl with Benavidez that much obviously. For David, not rocket science, he wants to break down Caleb round by round and stop him in a similar way to how Canelo did.

My money is on the actual boxer. Benavidez has some talent, but he needs to face a competent strategist in order to finally prove he's not wearing the Emperor's new clothes. I also hope Plant frustrates and humiliates him and his whole family and walks off with the decision. He most likely won't score a knockout, but this is boxing, so we shall see. Exciting fight!
