Canelo has literally nothing to do with Bivol-Beterbiev
Obviously he does. As much as Bivol says wants Beterbiev if there are 2 options Beterbiev or the Canelo payday he's picking the Canelo payday everytime and that is what he's hoping for. He'll get paid like 4x as much

Everyone keeps talking Bivol Beterbiev when it's been obvious not happening in 2023 and neither sides promoter has any intention of it

Bob said it has to happen on ESPN only. That's one obstacle there

Sulaiman saying Russians still banned so Smith is next, even though Beterbiev is more Russian than Bivol

And the main point above, DAZN and Eddie would rather make the Canelo vs Bivol rematch. Canelo wants the rematch he gets it.

Beterbiev going to be 39 before Bivol fight has any chance of happening

UFC have better marketing. They also block a lot of great fights from happening and refuse to work with anyone but hide it better.

It amazes me how many people buy into their “we make the best vs best” nonsense, but I suppose you have to give them credit for how good the marketing is.

I knew Canelo would cherrypick Bivol.

He just goes for easy opponents. Such a fraud.

Yes, he has a say, but why the hell would he give up $$$$$$$ millions by not fighting someone he already beat and a shot at undisputed at 168?!

It's a win win for the guy. Even if he loses or gets robbed by Canelo at 168, he still has the Beterbiev fight at 175 and second shot at Undisputed.

Best case... he steal's canelos belts at 168, and then next fight becomes undisputed at 175.... and becomes ATG and financially set for life.
There’s usually a time frame on enforcing rematch clauses and since Canelo had opted to face ggg and now Ryder in may, it’s probable that the rematch clause is no longer valid.

Canelo has had a hall of famer career but Bivol dominated him with skill and I say he would beat him at a y weight. The only place the fight was close was on the ridiculously scored cards and within the minds of Canelo's, what do they call them nut huggers?

That's why he is with Hearn, to maximise his earnings whilst staying away from the real danger.
I love how Hearn is praying Smith can beat Beterbiev so that Bivol can escape the beating of his life.
Both Bivol and Canelo are a piece of cake for Beterbiev and Hearn knows it.

If the UFC starts paying boxing level purses things will change.

                    Right.

Canelo is staying away from real danger by fighting that bum ass Bivol.

I was a nightmare on a family holiday as the first thing was to check out the live boxing viewing procedure and make sure these's no 'special' trips or silly stuff booked!
