After reading the comments on the supposed rematch clause I have a question. Why the hell would Bivol agree to a clause that's allows Canelo to fight other opponents while Bivol sits and waits? Possibly another attempt at Canelo getting an advantage? Whoops forgot about the Ramirez fight but still a strange rematch clause that has to have run its course by now.

And what if Canelo loses AGAIN to Bivol, which is what we're all sure of anyway?

Well then, Eddie loses his leverage and DAZN lose ANOTHER cash cow (the first being Joshua) which only compounds their financial woes as they're already loses millions anyway.

Better to let the Bivol-Beterbiev fight happen and give Canelo someone else in September for the Mexican holiday. Better to milk Canelo for another PPV to bump DAZN's finances.

I remember being in school and literally every kid in my class watched Eubank vs Benn. Nowadays, if you asked a class of thirty kids did you watch the Fury fight or the AJ fight? You’d likely have well less than half that seen it.

An innate problem with boxing, is it’s one of the few sports that limits it’s own audience. Take Eubank-Benn in 93 for example. Over 15 million people tuned in to watch that fight on ITV, yet nowadays it would be slung behind a paywall for £20 and less than 10% of that 15 million would watch it. Boxing would rather have 10% paying than 100% watching and that sort of exclusive bullsh** is what continues to prevent the sport from growing to the stature it should be.

The EPL could easily put Man City vs Liverpool, Man United vs Chelsea, Arsenal vs Tottenham etc behind a paywall and nobody would bat an eyelid. It would do mega numbers. However, they understand how it would limit the reach of the sport so would never do it. Boxing does the exact opposite, it continually shoots itself in the foot.

He’s been super clunky and slow ever since.
              He can't MAKE 160 anymore.

The older you get, the harder it is to drain 30lbs the day before a fight.

Hearn utters Benavidez but he ends that quickly with absolutely no intention of matching him with Canelo.

Could it be because Benavidez can box, fights long with power and fast hands that make it difficult to counter inside?

                Hmmmmm....

Perhaps it's just easier to fight a weight drained Bivol with no power?

                Hmmmmm....

Canelo will beat Bivol at 75 in the rematch and will beat him at 68 even worst! Bivol wants a shot at 68 undisputed and when he gets dealt with then the trilogy will be next so Bivol-Beterbiev is not ever going to happen at least not till sept2024 the soonest. At that actually may turn into canelo vs Beterbiev for 175 undisputed!

Yes, he has a say, but why the hell would he give up $$$$$$$ millions by not fighting someone he already beat and a shot at undisputed at 168?!

It's a win win for the guy. Even if he loses or gets robbed by Canelo at 168, he still has the Beterbiev fight at 175 and second shot at Undisputed.

Best case... he steal's canelos belts at 168, and then next fight becomes undisputed at 175.... and becomes ATG and financially set for life.
Nah he does not at 168. Not one bit..
