It'll be a Top Rank card. Callum is the clear b side and I'm not sure getting Smith a Canelo fight then getting him a title shot at 175 isn't delivering.

Alot of people here are writing Smith off. I like Smith in this fight since he's never been dropped and Beterbiev has been twice. Yarde rocked him a few times as well. Smith is alot stronger at 175, Smith by stoppage

This is Arum. He knows Beterbiev/Bivol is 50/50 and he despises Eddy Hearn. He's sticking to them. Sucks for boxing.

Was Yarde not the B side? Is Buatsi not the B side vs Bivol? This is a fight you could definitely bring to the UK if you wanted to. The reality is Matchroom don’t want to pay for it.

A Canelo fight he was completely unprepared for. That fight was made for Canelo not Smith. He basically sold his belt.

They’ve never delivered for Callum, ITV/Sauerland did far more for his career than Matchroom ever have. The Groves fight was by far the biggest payday of his career.

IMO, his decision to enter the WBSS instead of following Hearn’s plan to fight DeGale on PPV is the reason they’ve never fully got behind him. Eddie doesn’t like to share his toys.

seriously - it would really help if every comment on here was saying "No way!" - the message gets back to journalists and at least the decent ones with a spine can ask the awkward questions to the promoters on their next shows

i don't know how to do it but someone put a poll up - who should Bivol and Artur fight next - guarantee that Smith gets no more than 5% votes.
It's the reality is what it is. If boxing politics didn't prevent the best fights from happening in a timely manner, you wouldn't get these kinds of honest comments.

You must mean a different one because George Groves only got flattened by Froch once

No. I have the right George Groves. Froch smoked his boots twice. I suggest you go look it up. I did. The version of Groves Callum Smith beat was roadkill.

Groves wasn’t the best version of himself but I wouldn’t describe that version as roadkill!

You looked it up, GREAT! I watched both fights at the time and he only got flattened once.

Nice try though, downplaying Smith’s wins to make him out to be worse than he is.

Maybe 175 is better for him? Yarde is OK, but I think Smith is a better Boxer! Anyway, Hearn is going "in-house" for Bivol, so this will kill time!
