Good for Wallin to stay busy. Keep himself in rankings (and most likely ascending them).

Since the the cut he caused Fury, he defeated Breazeale, Kaufman, Booker and Sokolowski. He had Whyte and Ortiz swerve him.

As for not getting bigger fights, this is the problem if you are with a lesser promoter. Can't afford to pay for a bigger name so you try to convince the big names to take you as an opponent. That's hard if you're good enough to be a risky challenge without generating revenue of any kind.

    The ugly business of boxing.

It's kind of funny that he is choosing opponents now like fury chose him. Why he hasn't tested himself/cashed in is just baffling
Staying busy keeps you from getting dropped in rankings. It already happened to Wallin once while trying to get bigger fights.

As for the baffling part, it hasn't been for a lack of trying. He had Whyte bail on their fight weeks out with a phantom injury, was in negotiations with Luis Ortiz when King Kong's team went silent and his promoter (rather annoyingly) has had numerous articles in NSB lobbying for fights against bigger names like AJ, White, Wilder or whomever.

        Those are some shltty names
        Otto is like 13L (Chisora)
Would lose 100% of the fights vs legit opponents.

We are in the throes of an abysmal HW era
Even still, Otto will never be a champ
Maybe a gatekeeper when Oldtiz, 13L and Andy retire

They are names, nothing more and nothing less. The majority of fighters resumes are filled with names of the same ilk.

Wallin most likely won't ever be champion but he's not a bad fighter. He presents risk and very little reward. That's why he doesn't get big fights. That's the economic realities of boxing.

Now for the bold, tell me all of those "legit" names...

Like I said in that comment -
This has to be the shlttiest HW ewa since the 80's.
The gap between the ''good'' and the Otto's are galaxies apart
            AJ, Usyk, Wilder.............Fury
            Then everyone else.
I'd place Otto under the likes of Oldtiz, Andy, Joyce, Afe
He'd live with the likes of Del Boy and Parker

Calling out names is so easy
Beating those names, not so much

Wallin is just boring, look at Franklin atleast he lets his hands go unlike Stephen Shaw. Wallin's best win was against a Brazeale who did nothing but walk forward into punches and his claim to fame is an easy loss to highly impaired Fury who was playing around until he got cut. Wallin can get fights but he does not deserve a payday. Maybe give Charles Martin a call he seems to be in the same position as Wallin, both seem to be too tall and risky, I really want Charles Martin to redeem himself against some of these overrated contenders.

This shouldn't be allowed. Beating a hopeless 9-4 guy serves no purpose. It's going to be another painfully boring snoozefiesta like vs Sokolowski. Wallin has one win vs Breazeale and his claim to fame is a loss. Come on, you have a lot to prove and this doesn't cut it.

i mean, I know he has put himself out there to top-15 or higher ranked HW. I get it. He has at least tried. But there is zero way this is the best option out there considering he has not fought since May of last year. Also, this makes the records of his last 3 opponents over the past year and a half a combined 46-33-4. Nothing about that screams "I am serious about big money fights". His entire career is being based around cutting Fury (he did fight Fury hard) and decisioning Dominic Breazeale. And Breazeale has literally not fought since that loss, so the win means next to nothing.

I get PBR Streetgangs point of him being with a smaller promotion, but again that is Wallin decision here. Figuring out the business side of boxing is on the fighter at some point.

Otto is calling everyone out, it's not his fault that nobody wants to fight him.
