See my above post. Because Beterbiev has Ramadan, that ends in April, he’s probably not gonna fight until July-august if that’s the case, because I don’t see him coming out of Ramadan and fighting 8 weeks later. He may also not want to go straight into a huge fight of the back of that.

even if they were to fight around August, that means Bivol has had 9-10 months out waiting for Beterbiev because of his religious beliefs

so what’s wrong with Bivol taking a keep busy fight in the middle of all that?

Eddie keeping Bivol as far as possible from Artur
That's very possible but Arum, Hearn and the WBC are all saying Callum Smith gets his mando shot after Yarde so idk what else can be done.

If people are interested in watching the entire interview that BoxingScene is quoting from:

I like Buatsi, but his inactivity is getting frustrating. I think he really should've fought Pascal to get more experience, but fxct it then. It's time that Matchroom throws him into the deep end to see if he sinks or swims.

Realistically, we only get Bivol-Beterbiev if one of them has a contract expiring in the next year or so and jumps ship to make the fight happen. Hearn will probably say Bivol has to re-sign to get the Canelo rematch. Not sure what big fight Arum really has left to offer Beterbiev.

Why would he want Callum Smith to fight the winner of Beterbiev vs. Anthony Yarde, and not Bivol???
Bivol has some marketing credibility and he doesn't want to risk Bivol against Beterbiev who could potentially knock him out.

It then establishes a hierarchy that promoters don't want exposed = the most dangerous guy is the one not getting any big (money) fights and promoters are protecting their popular fighters and milking them,

            Example - Canelo vs Ryder.

So, is Hern gatekeeping the Bivol Beterbiev fight?

The WBC has said it would get out of the way for unification

I’ve mentioned this in another post , that Beterbiev would be ready to fight unification fight around July/August
Once he tramples Yarde , enjoys Ramadan and then onto Bivol

Is this a serious question? Hearn promotes fighters under contract with his company. That takes priority over being an ambassador for the sport.
